What a fantastic morning for our U7 Tawnies, who travelled to Hall Green today for their first ever away game! ❤️💛

A huge thank you to Hall Green for being fantastic hosts and giving the boys such a warm welcome. 👏

Fresh from their first taste of matchday football last weekend, the boys couldn't wait to get back out on the pitches — and the confidence shown by every single one of them today was amazing to see! 🌟

So many smiles, plenty of touches of the ball and lots of opportunities to try things, learn and grow.

For us, that's exactly what football at this age should be about — giving children the freedom to play, build confidence and develop a love for the game. ❤️⚽

That’s right! Our brand-new aluminium 3v3 goals have arrived, just in time for the U7 season kicking off next week! ❤️💛

Here at Wakefield OWLS, we’re always looking to give our players the best possible experience, and that means investing in high-quality equipment for them to train and play with.

With 4 new sets arriving, we now have an incredible 10 sets of 3v3 goals! 🤩

WOW! 🤩⚽🦉

What a fantastic morning down at Manley Park, home of Wakefield OWLS! ❤️💛

Today we welcomed our U7 Hawks, U7 Tawnies and our local neighbours Wrenthorpe Rangers for a brilliant morning of 3v3 football! ⚽

With six 3v3 pitches set up, there was no waiting around! The boys were straight on, getting maximum game time, more involvement and, most importantly, lots more touches of the ball. ⚽🙌

For many of the boys, it was their first real taste of matchday football, and they were absolutely fantastic! 👏

Seeing boys from both clubs smiling, laughing, making new friends and simply enjoying the sport they love is exactly what grassroots football is all about. ❤️

A huge thank you to Wrenthorpe Rangers for coming down and helping make it such an enjoyable morning for everyone. 🤝

As a club, we're really excited to see where the 3v3 format takes these young players. More touches, more involvement, more opportunities to learn and, most importantly, lots of fun! 🙌⚽

❄️⚽️ WAKEFIELD OWLS SNOWIES vs CASTLEFORD ⚽️❄️

What a game from start to finish! 🔥⚽️

The Snowies showed incredible character, determination and togetherness today. After finding themselves down, the girls dug deep, stayed positive and kept fighting until the final whistle. 💪❤️

From some unforgettable goals ⚽️🔥 to top-tier defending 🛡️ and fantastic goalkeeping 🧤, there was so much to be proud of.

The passing was another level today, and it was brilliant to see the girls taking what we’ve been working on in training and putting it into practice on the pitch. 👏⚽️ They looked sharper, more confident and really played for each other as a team.

A huge thank you to all the mums, dads and supporters who came along to cheer the girls on. Your support means so much to them! 👏❤️⚽️

And a massive well done to Molly and Anna, who were named Players of the Match! 🏆⭐️ You both deserved it!

The Snowies continue to grow, learn and show what they’re capable of. The future is looking very bright! ❄️⚽️🔥

WOW! 🤩⚽ What a fantastic start to pre-season for our awesome U9 Girls! ❤️🖤💛

After nearly four weeks off, the girls arrived back at training last night ready and raring to go... and that certainly showed on the pitch today! 👏

Our U9 Girls are known for their passing football and WOW... it was definitely on show today! 🔥⚽ Some brilliant movement, teamwork and confidence going forward.

But it wasn't just about what they did with the ball...

To see the girls defending together as one team, working for each other and backing each other up, just shows how much they believe in one another. ❤️

A massive thank you to LS27 for today's game — two top teams doing what they do best and giving us a fantastic game of football! 🤝⚽

Good luck to LS27 for the rest of the season!

WOW! 🤩⚽🦉

What a fantastic session from our U7 Tawnies tonight! 👏

We started by working on our dribbling, learning how to use the inside and outside of our feet to keep the ball under control — and not forgetting those laces too! ⚽💨

Next up, we practised kick-ins and restarting the game, looking at what we should be doing both when we're attacking and defending. 🧠⚽

To finish, the boys put everything into practice with some fast-paced 2v3 and 3v3 games, getting them ready for their first game together this Sunday! ❤️💛

The boys are learning more every week and, most importantly, having plenty of fun along the way!
