As a club we would like to wish all the very best to clubs that have restarted recreational cricket yesterday and today.

After consultation with players the decision has been taken that Stanhope C.C. will not be playing this season due to the current climate. The health and welfare of players and spectators is our priority and it was deemed the best option to prologue our absence until next season. We look forward to next season immensely.

All Stars and Dynamos is coming to Stanhope Cricket Club this May!

Both groups are a fun and engaging introduction to cricket, and a great way to socialise whilst keeping fit. They are both suitable for all genders and ability levels, with All Stars covering 5-8 year olds, and Dynamos 8-11 year olds.

The courses run every Tuesday for 8 weeks starting on the 19th of May on Stanhope Showfield.

Look out for our tombola stall all weekend at Stanhope Show Lots of great prizes to be won, and raising much needed funds to keep a cricket club in Stanhope for the future

Sadly we fell short of going unbeaten at home as we lost our first home game of the season yesterday against Murton.
It’s been a great effort to have got as close as we did, but we were well beaten by the better team.

Murton 137 all out
Stanhope 39 all out

We are away at South Hetton on Saturday for our final game of the season

Another hard fought win yesterday.
Burnhope CC batted first and posted 151/7 from their 45 overs.

We got the runs with a couple of overs to spare.
Man of the match was captain S. Campbell for his 71 not out opening the batting for us.

A great effort once again from everyone.
Our last home game of the season is next Saturday, 1:30 start against Murton

Stanhope C.C. beat Belmont C.C. by 45 runs.

Stanhope 166/7
Belmont 121 all out

Man of the Match was A. Brown with 67 runs and 3 wickets for 20 runs

Next match is a tough trip away to league leaders Seaham Harbour on Saturday, 1:30 start
