United Dance Studios - Essex Come and share our passion for Dance! We offer expert training in Ballroom & Latin for all ages ! United Dance Studios was established back in May 1997.

Based in Stanford le Hope, Essex and Orpington, Kent. We offer a range of classes for all ages and abilities and a very high standard of teaching in a friendly medallist school environment. Pupils are taught to the IDTA syllabus and have the opportunity to take medal examinations and compete in nationwide competitions. Being part of United, means being part of one of the most exciting, largest and

successful dance schools in the South. Come and share our passion for dance! United Dance Studios Essex, operates from The Springhouse in Stanford le Hope, which has a beautiful large sprung wooden floor and bar area. United Dance Principals / Teachers:
United Dance Essex was set up by Carly Jennings and Deborah Sayers to promote Ballroom and Latin dancing within a friendly club atmosphere for people of all ages and ability. Having danced with each other from the tender age of 8 through to 16 within a dance school environment they promised to one day set up their own dance school, this was realised with the launch of DC Dance in 1997! Both offer a great deal of experience in dancing, both as successful competitors in the medallist and open field, and also as teachers, qualified with the IDTA and NATD. We are also very fortunate to have a great team of teachers/student teachers at United Dance. With the launch of United Dance Studios, 2013 is a very exciting time for the school... come and be a part of it!

May 2027, our dance school will be celebrating an amazing milestone… 30 YEARS!! That’s 3 decades of dancing, memories, friendships and incredible achievements!!! ❤️

To mark this special occasion, we would love to bring together dancers from across the decades to help us recreate some of our favourite formation routines. Whether you danced with us recently or many years ago, we’d love to see you back on the dance floor as part of this unforgettable celebration 👀🥰

Over the past 30 years, we have watched generations of dancers grow in confidence, create lifelong friendships, achieve amazing success, and become part of our dance family. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of our journey and helped make our school what it is today 🫶🏼✨

If you’ve ever danced with us, we’d love for you to join us in celebrating this remarkable anniversary. Let’s come together to relive special memories, create new ones, and celebrate 30 wonderful years of dancing 💃🏼

A huge congratulations to all of our students who competed at the UKA Finals. We were thrilled to have 36 finalists and an amazing 11 CHAMPIONS 🥇🥇🥇

We couldn’t be prouder of every single dancer. You all performed your very best, showed incredible dedication, and represented United with pride ✨

Most importantly, you had fun, supported one another, and demonstrated the true spirit of our dance family — and that’s what matters most!!! 🫶🏼

Judges Tips from 👏⭐️🥳

Mistakes -Keep going!… Everyone makes them even top dancers! The key is to recover instantly. Don’t show it on your face, pick it up, stay in character, and carry on like nothing happened 😊

Posture - Your posture is one of the first things judges notice before you even take a step… Stand tall through your spine, lift through the chest, and keep your shoulders relaxed and down.
Good posture isn’t just about standing still it must stay consistent while you move 👍

Timing is everything- Stay connected to the music at all times. Strong timing is more important than any choreography, judges will always notice dancers who are in control of their movement to the beat 🫶
