⚫ No Joining Fees Rhinos Gymnasium, is a family run independent gym based in the historical town of Stamford, Lincolnshire and is one of the largest gyms in the whole of the East Midlands. Rhinos is also a Hammer Strength Affiliated training centre. There

are no contracts or joining fees, we have the lowest memberships prices and best opening times around! Whether you're new to the gym, into fitness, a professional athlete or just looking to shape up Rhinos is here to help you achieve your goals. We are delighted to introduce you to two new members of Rhinos staff.
Louis Howell & Ruben Persona
Ruben will be covering the Saturday afternoon & evening shift between 13:00 - 20:00
and
Louis will be covering 13:00 - 20:00 on the Sunday.
You will see them behind reception so make sure you say hi.
Please join us in welcoming them into the Rhino’s team.

Equipment Update:-
We are delighted to inform you that all of the attachment & accessory boards are now completed.
We now have dedicated storage for :-

1. “Vee” handles
2. “D” handles
3. Ropes
4. Cuffs
5. Short Straight bars
6. Swinging handles
7. Material handles
8. Lat pull down / Long bars
9. Neutral grip bars
10. EZ bar
11. Mag Bars

These have been strategically placed in the centre of the gym near to where these attachments are used.
The primary goal was to make the gym a tidier and safer place to train.
Member feedback has been excellent, with many saying that it is a major advantage having all the same attachments in one location, so no hunting around the gym.
This only works if attachments are returned to the appropriate location after use so please ensure you do this upon completion of each exercise
We hope you like this improvement to the gym.

Attachment Storage:-

Today we have completed the second half of the attachment storage facility on the central cables.
One quarter is for storing Short Straight Bars and the second quarter for Swinging Handles & Material Handles.
We’ve received some excellent feedback on this addition to the gym with members saying it’s great to have each item in one location so you know where to find them, no searching around the gym.
So please help keep it like this by returning each attachment to its appropriate board.
We hope you like this improvement.

Attachment Storage:-

Today we have completed half of the attachment storage facility on the central cables.
The first quarter is for storing ‘D’ Handles & ‘V’ Handles and the second quarter for Ropes & Cuffs
Please help keep your gym tidy by returning any of these attachments to the appropriate board.
We have gone to a lot of thought and effort to provide these boards , please ensure you use them.
It takes just a minute to return the attachment and keep the gym looking tidy and safe.
We hope you like this improvement to the gym.

Big thank you to for donating a couple of items to the gym !
Firstly a 20kg weighted vest, a great item with many uses :-

1. Walking and Hiking
Adding weight increases the effort required to move, which can:
* Increase calorie expenditure
* Raise heart rate
* Improve muscular endurance in the legs and core

2. Bodyweight Strength Training
Weighted vests make exercises harder without changing technique significantly:
* Push-ups
* Pull-ups
* Dips
* Squats
* Lunges
* Step-ups
This is especially useful when bodyweight exercises become too easy.

3. Running and Athletic Conditioning
* Sprint drills
* Agility work
* Conditioning sessions

4. Military, Police, and Firefighter Training
Weighted vests can simulate carrying equipment and help prepare for occupational demands:
* Load carriage
* Stair climbing
* Endurance training
* Functional fitness

5. Bone Health and Weight-Bearing Exercise
Research has explored weighted vests as a way to increase mechanical loading on bones, particularly in older adults. The added load may help stimulate bone maintenance when combined with appropriate exercise programs.

6. Improving Exercise Intensity
A vest can increase the difficulty of:
* Stair climbing
* Circuit training
* High-intensity interval training (HIIT)
* Everyday walking workouts

The vest will be by the weight belts in front of the Rhino for all to use.

And secondly an Arnold Encyclopaedia which will be in reception for all to read.

Today is Rhino’s Birthday !!!
Opening in June 2013, we are 13 Years Old and Stamford’s longest established gym.
We would like to extend a sincere and heartfelt thank you to all our members both past and present for your support over the years, we wouldn't be where we are today without you, the best equipped and friendliest gym in town.
Rest assured that we will always strive to improve the gym and continue to be the best.

Today we bid farewell to Alisule786
as he pursues his career in the City.
Ali joined us three years ago at the tender age of 17, a young man mature beyond his years, he has been a stalwart behind reception every weekend, a consummate professional and welcoming face.
It’s been heartwarming to see you grow and use Rhinos as a platform in securing your dream, a top financial position.
Ali beat off over 12,000 applicants in his successful quest to work in the City.
An inspiration to all young men, you are not only exceptionally bright but you have the personality and character to match.
On behalf of Rhinos we are eternally grateful for everything you have done for us.

Gym Equipment - Stairmasters & Steppers
The ionic Stairmasters. We have 3 of them, all get well loved.
Well love is a strong word. Definitely a love hate relationship with them! They're tough but nothing burns quite like the stairs!
As of today they've all be serviced and all 3 in great working order.
Along with the Stairmasters we have 2 Life Fitness Steppers. Similar in nature but slightly less intensive.
Stairmasters & Steppers are fantastic cardiovascular workouts and brilliant for toning the legs; targeting the glutes, hamstrings, quads and calves.
Climbing without relying on the handrails forces the core muscles to engage, promoting better balance and stability. Avoid leaning forward too much and maintain and upright posture.
Alternating between fast and slow speeds helps increase calorie burn and cardiovascular endurance.
Suitable for both beginners and advanced users, it can be used for warm-ups or a full intese cardio session.
