Another busy weekend for Town bowlers, on Saturday they were loosing finalists to Oakham in the Stamford & District league Rosebowl competition.
On Sunday afternoon at Mkt Deeping there was success in the league’s President’s triples and Secretary’s pairs competition. In the triples Moira, Len & Kevin had a convincing 26-11 win over a Bourne trio but it was a different story in the pairs; it was an all Town final with Jon & Paul Bailey taking on Sue Seed and Kevin Vinter. The father and son pair led for most of the match but scores of 2 on the last 3 ends saw Sue & Kevin home 15-11.

Success again for Moira,John and Kevin in the Stamford & District League Duncombe Shield competition they repeated their win of 2024 by winning the competition on Sunday played on Bourne Town’s green.

Friday was another busy day for Town bowlers, in the afternoon our Club 55 team won the Peterborough League Mick Lewin Plate competition at Deeping BA; they beat Crowland 54-42.
In the evening many competed in our own triples competition. Winners of the TSB trophy were Chris,Lesley & Ken.

On Sunday some of our bowlers had a very good day at City of Peterborough green in Northants Federation finals.

John Holroyd & Neil Crees Mens pairs.
Kevin Vinter & Susan Seed Snr mixed pairs.
Susan Seed Ladies Champion of Champions.
Susan Seed Ladies Secretary singles.
Chrissi Baker, Moira Holroyd, Chris Ford Ladies 3b triples.
