Eastern School of Performing Arts is a full time Post 16 Performing Arts School offering BTEC Dance and Musical Theatre alongside HNC and HND in Performance. We are so unbelievably proud of our new studios, but it hasn’t come without graft! We took on the lease at the end of June; and every minute since had been spent on preparing the space for our students! We didn’t document the full journey (it’s been mega busy!), but how lovely to see some photos of the before, the during, and the NOW! A HUGE thankyou to Xclusive Carpentry & joinery and James Randall 🏡 Randall & Soper - this was a HUGE project, and we are so very grateful for all of your work. Riverside studios look exceptional and will serve our students for many years to come!

What an absolutely incredible day we have had in Sheffield with our wonderful Acting students for their induction trip! Y1, Y2 & Lv4 Actors got to see the amazing ‘King Lear’ at The Crucible Sheffield Theatres starring Ian McDiarmid. An absolute acting masterclass from the entire cast, with such creative vision and so very much skill on show! An inspiring day for our Actors and the team!

As we are about to start our first full week with our new cohort, we think of those moving onto pastures new. Some of you may already have moved and be settled, ready to go! Others will have moved this weekend, or have plans for a few weeks time. Either way, know we are thinking of you! We’re so proud of you; go and enjoy this next chapter!

And just like that - we are back! Welcome to all the new students joining us, we can’t wait to have you here with us at ESPA! We start induction week today with our Level 2 and Level 4 students - have the best day getting to know your group, the team and all things ESPA.

For those starting their next chapters at new establishments, enjoy every minute! You are so ready for this, and the ESPA team are right behind you!

A HUGE congratulations to our wonderful Level 2 students receiving their results today! We are so very proud of you all, what an incredible year you’ve had - so much growth! Enjoy celebrating your brilliant results today!

Wishing all the best to those receiving GCSE results today! Be proud of yourselves, and know that those grades do not define you! For any new students starting with us in September, please see the email shared with you yesterday regarding the process if you haven’t secured the grades outlined in your offer. The office is open from 10:30-12:00, we can look at the options and will assess on a case by case basis.

We could not be prouder of our students today! Level 3 and 4 results day has revealed amazing results across the board!

91% of our students have finished with high grades (merit/distinction) with 50% finishing with a distinction (equal to 3 x A*s at A Level!) These are astounding results, but so very very deserved, congratulations to all of our students receiving results today - you’re here because of your hard work, passion, resilience and trust in the incredible ESPA Team. We are SO very proud of each and every one of you! Congratulations!

Whilst we are on our summer break, it’s been super refreshing to reflect on our incredible students performances from our Showcase earlier this year!

We’ll be sharing some snippets over the next few weeks; and first up is our incredible Y2MT student (alumni?!) Lucy, with her performance of ‘Insane’.
Lucy prepared this song from ‘Suffs’ the musical for her drama school auditions. She enjoyed exploring the drama and vocal quality that this song demands.Lucy will be continuing her training at - we are so very proud of you!
