🗣️ “This wasn’t a decision I made overnight. I respect Chelsea a lot, the fans, the teammates, and everything I went through there. But at some point in your career, you have to ask yourself what comes next.
When Xabi Alonso spoke to me about the project, it changed everything. He didn’t try to convince me with promises or big words. He spoke about responsibility, about playing for a club where every game demands perfection.
That conversation made me realize I was ready for a new chapter. I’ve grown a lot at Chelsea, especially through difficult moments, but I wanted to challenge myself at the highest possible level again.
