Stalybridge Archery Club A tradition sport in a modern world. With 24 hour flexible access our members are able to shoot when it best suits them.

Here at Stalybridge Archery Club we are proud to have our own self contained grounds, complete with both indoor and outdoor ranges. Stalybridge Archery Club was founded in 1958 and became an affiliated member of the Cheshire Archery Association in 1960. It is a well respected and a well established club and boasts a membership that includes County, Regional and National Champions, County, Regional

and National record holders, and has even had members who have competed at the Olympic games. The club also has within its membership a National Judge and several County officials. The clubs principle discipline is target archery and it caters for all levels of archers. The club runs several of its own competitions throughout the year as well as entering tournaments spanning the length and breadth of the country. See Website http://stalybridgearcheryclub.co.uk

STALYBRIDGE’S MP says he will do all he can to help the town’s archery club hit the target it needs to secure a new clubhouse.

Currently housed in what was a cricket pavilion, first put up in 1961, the time has come for a new facility.

But the money it would cost to install an improved home that could help it go on to bigger and better things is substantial.

Jonathan Reynolds, however, has he will do all he can to help Stalybridge Archery Club succeed.

On the 25th July we will be having a 24 hour shoot for charity.

This year we will be supporting Meningitis Now and Prostate Cancer UK by having an archer or archers continually shooting for 24 hours!!!

Please pop along and say hello or drop off a donation, we’d love to raise a good amount for these charities if we can.

Stalybridge Archery Club welcomed Jonathan Reynolds MP yesterday. We talked about archery, our role in the local community and our plans for upgrading our ageing clubhouse. Thanks to Jonathan who committed to helping us in our quest for a new building. Hopefully having a go has sparked a new passion and we may even see him and his family at the annual Have-a-Go day on the 28th June
