🇹🇭 The Sitsiam Camp was honoured with a visit from the High Sheriff of Greater Manchester Mark Llewellin DL and his consort to yesterday's children's Muay Thai class.
⭐ After watching our demonstration team perform at the Sci-Fi event in Ashton-u-Lyne in May, the High Sheriff requested to visit our school to see how we are helping the local community by promoting the Thai Martial Arts here in Tameside.
⭐This was a great opportunity for all our child students to not only learn Muay Thai but to also take the opportunity to learn about the history,, culture, protocols, and the importance of the role of the High Sheriff in the borough of Greater Manchester.
⭐This was a fantastic evening of Thai Martial Arts with the High Sheriff being welcomed into our school by Kru Steven, Kru Gian, our Standard bearer Sophia and guard of honour, Bam, Axl and Fabrizio, the other students lined the corridor all bowing Wai upon entry as a mark of respect to the High Sheriff of Greater Manchester.
⭐The class began with all students performing the Wai Kru to the High Sheriff, next we shown how our children's classes are taught on a daily basis and then it was followed by some demonstrations of the Thai Martial arts by our child students.
⭐Here are a few words from the High Sheriff himself.
⭐"It was a great pleasure to visit the school and I can't tell you how impressed I was. Thank you so much for the invite it was one of the highlights of my year so far".
⭐Thank you to the High Sheriff of greater Manchester Mark Llewellyn DL and his consort for taking time from their very busy schedule to visit our school and help to further the education of our students into the role of the High Sheriff.
⭐We would also like to thank Kevin from the About Tameside magazine for attending to cover this special occasion and for all your help in promoting our school over many years.
⭐Finally I would like to say thank you to Kru Gian, Vicki, Taylor, Dan and Kirsty for helping to make this such a special evening for all involved.
