A bit about these wonderful organisations:
DayBreak Respite Care offers a high standard of care, entertainment and delicious food to elderly and disabled people who are resident in the Borough of Spelthorne, whilst their carer takes a well-earned day off.
1st Egham Scouts run Beaver Scout, Cub Scout and Scout section meetings weekly during school term time, preparing young people with skills for life. They run the main Staines 10K water station!
Holly’s Heroes is a charity dedicated to bringing moments of happiness, fun and joy to children and families affected by cancer by offering experiences that create lasting memories.
Home-Start Spelthorne is a voluntary organisation offering regular support, friendship and practical help to young families under stress in their own homes, helping to prevent family breakdown.
Laleham Camera Club is a small friendly camera club where everyone is welcome regardless of their skill level or camera. LCC take all the race photos for free and offer complimentary downloads.
Manor Mead School is a co-educational, state-funded special school located in Shepperton, Surrey, England. It provides highly specialised education for young children with complex needs.
The Penrose Club is a social club for adults with special needs, resident in the boroughs of Spelthorne, Runnymede and surrounding areas, supported by volunteers.
Riverbridge School PTA in Staines is a highly active, registered charity run by parent volunteers and school staff, raising extra funds that enrich the children's learning.
Spelthorne Volunteer Drivers specialise in helping the elderly and infirm residents of our borough get to their medical appointments with the minimum of fuss and expense.
Staines Helping Hands aims to be a dependable good neighbour to any Staines-upon-Thames resident who needs help, particularly older people, who may be unwell, isolated, have special needs or may be dealing with a difficult situation.
Surplus to Supper transforms surplus food into millions of meals for our community. Food from businesses that would otherwise end up in landfill is redistributed to food banks, and made into nutritious meals.
White Lodge in Chertsey champions inclusivity, dignity, and opportunity for individuals with disabilities and/or neurodiversity, fostering environments where every adult and child can thrive and reach their full potential.
