A few lil weight loss tips for this trying on their own.
1) move more- exercise doesn't have to be boring. Try something new like going rock climbing or to a dance class, go for a bike ride with your kids do something brave like go ape make it fun and enjoyable and your more likely to do it often
2) keep a food diary and review it every few days /week. Make sure you write exactly what goes in your mouth, how you were feeling and where you were/what your doing. if it comes out of a packet you can usually predict how much you have had if it doesn't use some standard measures like a cup or fist size portion. When you look back at it you will see where you have weakened and could do better. You will also see if there are any patterns forming. Which are then easier to address
3) get a friend involved that has similar goals. Competition will help you push yourself and keep on it. They will also offer support when you are struggling and help keep you on track and vice versa.
4) don't expect to lose 10 stone in a month it's unrealistic. Set yourself smaller goals and realistic time frames (4-6lb in a month etc) and when you reach it set another one. Small steps will get you there in the end. You didn't put the weight on over night don't expect it to be gone because you are one salad
5) Reward yourself when you reach your goals - not with a blow out food marathon but like buy yourself a new top or go to the cinema etc something you like but wouldn't ordinarily buy yourself . but don't if you don't reach the goal. This is just something to encourage yourself to reach the goal.
