🎣 44lb 2oz from Quarry! 🎣

What a way to finish our latest run of catch reports.

Hossein was fishing Quarry from 6th–8th August when this superb carp made an appearance from Peg 18.

At an impressive 44lb 2oz, it fell to a DNA Bug Wafter.

🎣 Lake: Quarry
πŸ“ Peg: 18
βš–οΈ Weight: 44lb 2oz
πŸ”΄ Hookbait: DNA Bug Wafter

Conditions during the session included temperatures around 21.6Β°C, a light westerly wind and stable pressure around 1023 hPa, with dry conditions.

A seriously impressive Quarry carp and a fantastic capture.

🎣 A New Quarry PB for TamÑs! 🎣

Another trip to Baden Hall and another one to remember for TamΓ‘s, who returned to Quarry for a session on Peg 18 from 1st–2nd September.

And this time, he went home with a new personal best - a cracking 34lb 3oz common carp. πŸ‘

The fish fell to a 12mm DNA Baits Secret 7 pop-up, presented on a Ronnie rig.

🎣 Lake: Quarry
πŸ“ Peg: 18
βš–οΈ Weight: 34lb 3oz Common
πŸ† New PB
πŸͺ Rig: Ronnie rig
🟑 Hookbait: 12mm DNA Baits Secret 7 pop-up

Conditions on the 2nd were pretty testing, with around 6.7mm of rain, high humidity, a brisk southerly wind and falling pressure around 1016 hPa.

But we'll leave the final word to TamΓ‘s:

β€œThank you for running such a top-class fishery, the lakes and the fish are absolutely amazing. I cannot wait to come back again soon!”

Thank you, TamΓ‘s. We're really pleased you had another great session with us β€” and congratulations on the new PB! πŸŽ£πŸ‘

🎣 First Time Carp Fishing… 20lb 7oz! 🎣

Not a bad way to start your carp fishing journey!

Young Caden was out on Lodge Pool for his very first time carp fishing when this cracking 20lb 7oz common came along.

Fishing from Peg 11, the carp fell to a Ronnie rig with a yellow wafter - giving Caden his very first carp and, of course, a brand-new PB. πŸ‘

🎣 Lake: Lodge Pool
πŸ“ Peg: 11
βš–οΈ Weight: 20lb 7oz Common
πŸ† First Carp & New PB
πŸͺ Rig: Ronnie rig
🟑 Hookbait: Yellow wafter

It wasn't exactly beginner-friendly weather either! Conditions on 2nd September were wet, with around 6.7mm of rain, temperatures reaching 19Β°C, a brisk southerly wind and falling pressure around 1016 hPa.

But judging by that smile, the weather wasn't going to spoil this one.

20lb 7oz for your first-ever carp is going to take some beating, Caden. Brilliant stuff! πŸ‘πŸŽ£

🎣 8 Bites and 6 Landed from Bridge Pool! 🎣

A seriously productive 24 hours on Bridge Pool, with Alfie putting together a six-fish session from Peg 9.

Fishing solid bags tight to the far margin, with Dynamite Baits pink Hit N Run wafters, the bites kept coming - eight in total, with six carp safely landed.

And there was some quality amongst them:

🐟 29lb 8oz Common
🐟 27lb Mirror
🐟 25lb Mirror
🐟 25lb Mirror
🐟 Low-20 Stocky
🐟 Mid-double jet-black Common

🎣 Lake: Bridge Pool
πŸ“ Peg: 9
🎯 Approach: Solid bags to the far margin
🩷 Hookbait: Dynamite Baits Pink Hit N Run wafters
⚑ Session: 8 bites / 6 landed

Conditions on 16th August were dry and comfortable, reaching around 21Β°C, with a north-westerly wind and stable pressure around 1018.5 hPa.

Six carp from eight bites in 24 hours - with four of them between 25lb and just shy of 30lb - that's some session on Bridge. πŸ‘πŸŽ£

Well done Alfie, and thanks for sending the report in!

🎣 β€œBest 24 Hours I've Ever Had” - 47lb from Quarry! 🎣

That's how Paul described this session on Quarry - and looking at what he landed, it's easy to see why.

Fishing from Peg 13, Paul put together an approach around a heavily baited area at 18 wraps, between Pegs 4 and 5. Both rods were positioned only around a metre apart over the same area, but with different presentations.

One produced a cracking 32lb carp, taken on a PB wafter in a solid bag filled with Crayfish Mini Mix pellets.

Then came the one that really made the session.

A 47lb Quarry carp, falling to a Ronnie rig with a 15mm DNA Baits Switch Half Tone pop-up. πŸ”₯

🎣 Lake: Quarry
πŸ“ Peg: 13
🐟 47lb
🐟 32lb
πŸ“ Range: 18 wraps
🎯 Spot: Between Pegs 4 & 5
πŸͺ 47lb: Ronnie rig / 15mm Switch Half Tone pop-up
πŸͺ 32lb: PB wafter / solid bag with Crayfish Mini Mix pellets
πŸ”΄ Free bait: S7 15mm boilies, S7 pellets and S7 liquid with corn

Conditions were unsettled, reaching around 18Β°C, with rain, a brisk westerly wind and pressure beginning to rise around 1010 hPa.

Two rods. One baited area. Two quality Quarry carp.

And one of those sessions that Paul probably won't be forgetting for a very long time.

47lb and 32lb β€” congratulations Paul. What a 24 hours. πŸ‘πŸŽ£

🎣 Another 30-Fish Session on Middle Pool! 🎣

Middle Pool continues to produce some serious action for Jack.

Back on the lake on 31st August and sticking with the same tactics that had worked previously, Jack managed another 30 carp, with the biggest of the session reaching 23lb.

And conditions certainly weren't making things easy.

🌧️ β€œThe weather was horrific but we made it happen πŸ˜‚β€

🎣 Lake: Middle Pool
🐟 Around 30 carp landed
βš–οΈ Biggest: 23lb
🎯 Approach: Stuck with the tactics that had produced on his previous session

The weather backed that up too β€” temperatures reached around 18Β°C, with a brisk westerly wind, rain and high humidity at 86%, while pressure was beginning to rise around 1010 hPa.

Middle Pool is one of our runs waters for a reason, but 30 fish still takes some doing β€” especially in weather like that!

Cracking session Jack. πŸ‘πŸŽ£

🎣 From a 6lb Bream to an 18lb 7oz PB! 🎣

A brilliant family session on Middle Pool, and this time it was Mum's turn to set the family benchmark!

Fishing from 5th-7th September, the boys were already no strangers to catching carp from Middle - but until this trip, her own best from the lake was a 6lb bream, with no carp to her name.

That changed with a 16lb 5oz carp, before an even better one came along at 18lb 7oz - a new PB and the family's biggest carp from Middle Pool to date.

In her own words: β€œFirst carp so I'm stoked!” πŸ˜‚πŸŽ£

It was a proper family effort too:

πŸ† New PB: 18lb 7oz
🐟 Also: 16lb 5oz
🎣 Josh: 13lb 14oz
🎣 Martyn: 13lb 5oz & 11lb 14oz
πŸ”΄ Bait: Sticky Baits & Sticky hookbaits

Conditions over the weekend were unsettled, with temperatures around 19Β°C, a brisk south-westerly wind, some rain and falling pressure around 1008.5 hPa.

Five fish for the family, a first Middle Pool carp, a new PB and a new family best from the lake.

We can see why you're stoked! πŸ‘

Thanks for the lovely report β€” and congratulations on that new PB.

🎣 Two New PBs on Rylen's First Overnight! 🎣

A first overnight session to remember for Rylen Whelan on Dam Pool! πŸ‘

Fishing with his dad across Pegs 5, 6 and 7, Rylen started the trip with a PB to beat β€” and managed to do it twice.

First came a 16lb 4oz carp, setting a new personal best.

Then he went one better with another at 17lb 8oz, raising his PB for the second time in his very first overnight session.

Dad summed it up nicely: β€œHe was made up with it.”

And there was plenty of action for the rest of the group too, with 15 carp landed between them and the biggest of the session reaching 22lb.

🎣 Lake: Dam Pool
πŸ“ Pegs: 5, 6 & 7
🐟 15 carp between the group
πŸ† Rylen: 16lb 4oz PB β†’ 17lb 8oz PB
βš–οΈ Biggest of the trip: 22lb
πŸ”΄ Bait: Single Cell & Krill boilies with a scattering over the top

Conditions were warm at around 23Β°C, with a brisk easterly wind, a little rain and falling pressure around 1015 hPa.

Not bad for your first overnight, Rylen! 🎣

And it sounds like it did the trick β€” the next trip is already planned, with the family heading back for a few days on Lodge Pool at the end of October.

Well done Rylen. We hope seeing yourself on the Baden Hall page gives you another reason to smile! πŸ‘

🎣 One Session. Two New PBs on Glovers! 🎣

That's a session Josh won't forget in a hurry.

Fishing Peg 7 on Glovers from 14th–17th August, Josh started things off with a 30lb 8oz carp, caught on a PVA bag with a pink DNA wafter.

That was already enough to give him a new personal best.

Next came a 24lb carp, this time falling to a spinner rig with a washed-out orange DNA pop-up.

Then, on the final night, Glovers had one more surprise waiting.

A 35lb 8oz common picked up the same spinner rig and washed-out orange pop-up β€” meaning Josh had broken the PB he'd set only a couple of days earlier. πŸ‘

🎣 Lake: Glovers
πŸ“ Peg: 7
🐟 30lb 8oz β€” New PB
🐟 24lb
🐟 35lb 8oz Common β€” New PB again!
πŸͺ Tactics: PVA bag & spinner rig
🟠🩷 Hookbaits: DNA wafters & pop-ups

Conditions during the period were changeable, with cooler temperatures around 18Β°C, some rain, a north-westerly wind and pressure rising through 1023 hPa.

Josh finished his report by saying he'll β€œdefinitely be back on Glovers soon trying for another PB.”

After raising it twice in one session, we can't blame him! πŸ˜‚πŸŽ£

Congratulations Josh β€” 30lb 8oz to 35lb 8oz in the space of one trip.
