After sharing my morning grounding routine a few weeks ago, I was surprised by how many questions I received, so here’s the a bit more on this subject, as promised

Grounding (earthing) is one of the simplest wellness practices available free, accessible, and deeply connected to nature.

Research has explored its potential impact on sleep, stress, recovery, circulation, inflammation, and overall well-being. More than 50 published studies and reviews have examined grounding’s effects, and the topic is well covered in Dr. Catherine Clinton’s book Optimize(2026).
And another interesting source is Earthing: The Most Important Health Discovery Ever? by Clint Ober, Stephen Sinatra & Martin Zucker (2010)

There are more studies and papers, let me know if you would like more sources 👇

Scientists propose that direct contact with the Earth allows us to absorb and utilise its abundant electrons, supporting processes linked to inflammation, pain, sleep, circulation, immune health, and even blood pressure.

Our bodies are electrical by nature. The more we reconnect with the Earth, the more we may support the systems designed to keep us thriving, including our fascia, the body’s incredible communication network.

Have you tried walking barefoot on the earth lately? 🌿👣

While research into grounding is still evolving and more large-scale studies are needed, existing studies and reviews have reported potential benefits for sleep, stress, pain, and inflammation.

For some reason, Instagram didn’t save my 4-minute live kettlebell Tabata workout today, so I did it again and turned it into a carousel. 😅

On busy days, my goal is simple: 4 minutes of skipping rope to warm up + 4 minutes of Tabata (20 sec work, 10 sec rest, 8 exercises). The timed music is free on YouTube, so all I have to do is press play.

If I feel good, I do a few more rounds. If not, I stop after one. Either way, 8 minutes is still better than nothing. Consistency beats perfection. 💪

I hope you’ll give it a try too—and let me know how it goes!

This week’s highlights ☀️🌿

Soaking up the beautiful weather, slow breakfasts in the garden, workouts, and plenty of time outdoors. We also enjoyed our first little break away in five months — a much-needed two nights of rest and relaxation after a challenging few months following my husband’s heart surgery in May.

It felt wonderful to step away from hospitals and appointments, enjoy a beautiful hotel (thank you ), go out for dinner, take some beautiful walks, explore Warwickshire, and simply do… nothing. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need. 💛

Feeling grateful for the sunshine, the fresh air, and a chance to recharge together.

✨ Here’s what we were up to tonight in our live Zoom Fitness Pilates / Fascial Flow Pilates session! ✨
Pilates is a highly effective form of exercise at any age, offering particular benefits during menopause and post-menopause when muscles, joints and connective tissues undergo significant changes.
Through mindful, functional movement, Pilates helps maintain strength, mobility and muscle mass while supporting better posture, alignment and body awareness. It provides a gentle, yet effective way to move without placing unnecessary stress on the body.
Regular practice can help you:
✔ Improve mobility and flexibility
✔ Build strength and stability
✔ Reduce aches and pains
✔ Enhance posture and balance
✔ Feel more connected to your body
✔ Move with greater ease and confidence

Here are just a few of the sequences we explored tonight using a long loop resistance band.

April’s kettlebell workout finally escaped the drafts 😅
Life got a bit chaotic for a while, but a few of you asked for more kettlebell content… so here it is 💥

I’m really enjoying training with kettlebells at the moment because the workouts are full body, functional, and not just isolating single muscles… my dumbbells are almost retired 😂

18 exercises (do both sides where appropriate)
60 sec work / 20 sec rest
2 rounds 🔥 (or do just one if you are short of time£

Save it, try it, and let me know which move humbled you most 👊
