Maybe you don’t need more motivation.

Maybe your life is just really bloody demanding.

I talk a lot about consistency, making yourself a priority and finding time to look after yourself.

But lately? I’ve been reminded just how hard that can actually be.

I’m parenting again in my 40s. I’m running a business. There’s a puppy who apparently requires approximately 97% of my attention 😂 and some days my time just doesn’t feel like my own.

There have been plenty of times recently when the workout hasn’t happened. The long walk hasn’t happened. Dinner hasn’t looked how I’d planned.

And I’ve caught myself thinking I should be doing better.

But maybe the answer isn’t trying harder to create the “perfect” week.

Maybe it’s getting better at looking after ourselves in the imperfect ones.

A 20-minute workout instead of an hour.
A quick protein-packed dinner instead of the meal you planned.
A short walk when you can’t manage 10,000 steps.
Doing something instead of deciding you’ve failed and promising yourself you’ll start again on Monday.

Because if your plan only works when life is calm, organised and predictable... it’s probably not a very useful plan.

And honestly, I’m not sure life is ever going to magically become calm enough for us to finally put ourselves first.

So I’m learning to work with the life I’ve got.
And that’s what I want to help other women do too.

Lose weight. Get stronger. Feel fitter and more capable. Feel like YOU again.

Without needing your whole life to revolve around it. ❤️

If you’ve been waiting for life to calm down before you start looking after yourself again, this is your reminder that you don’t have to. DM ‘NDA Club’ for more info.

You know vegetables are good for you.
You know protein matters.
You know walking is good for you.
You know you probably shouldn't live on biscuits and cups of tea until 4pm. 😂
You know strength training would be good for you.

So why aren't you doing it consistently?

Because **knowledge isn't usually the problem.**

Real life is.

You're tired.
You're busy.
You've spent years putting everybody else first.
You start with huge expectations.
You try to change everything at once.
You have one difficult day and immediately think you're failing.

Then that familiar voice appears:

*"See? You never stick to anything."*

So you stop.

And every time that happens, your confidence in yourself gets a little bit smaller.

This is why I believe successful weight loss isn't just about calories.
We need to work on the behaviours around them.

Your routines.
Your expectations.
Your environment.
Your habits.
Your all-or-nothing thinking.
And sometimes, your ability to prioritise yourself without feeling guilty about it.

You probably don't need more information.

You need to learn how to turn what you already know into something you can actually live.

That's exactly what we're working on inside Never Diet Again Club.

And there'll be another opportunity to join us in October. ❤️

Maybe what you actually want is...
To put your jeans on without changing three times.
To wear the dress you love without worrying about your stomach.
To get in a photograph without immediately looking for what's wrong with you.
To have the energy to enjoy your weekend.
To stop thinking about food all day.
To go on holiday and actually enjoy it.
To play with your grandchildren without secretly wishing you could sit down.
To feel strong enough to carry the shopping.
To walk up the stairs without feeling knackered.
To feel sexy again.
To feel like yourself.

Yes, losing weight may be part of that.
But it isn't the whole story.
And that's why I don't want you spending the next six months obsessing over the scales.

I want you spending the next six months building a life and a body you actually want to live in.

That's the bigger picture.

I know that for many women, losing weight is the goal.
And there's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to feel more comfortable in your body.
But I want you to think beyond the scales too.
Because as we get older, muscle becomes incredibly important.

Strength helps you:
💪 Carry your shopping.
💪 Pick things up.
💪 Get off the floor.
💪 Climb stairs.
💪 Feel more capable.
💪 Stay active.
💪 Maintain independence as you age.

And there's something else I love about strength training.
It changes the conversation you have with your body.

Instead of constantly asking:
"Does my body look good enough?"

You start thinking:
"Look what my body can do."

That's a very different relationship with yourself.
This is one of the reasons strength training is such a big part of what I do — both with my small group sessions and within my online coaching.

You don't have to be fit.
You don't have to know what you're doing.
And you definitely don't need to lift enormous weights.

You just need to start where you are and get a little stronger over time.
