🏏 ☀️ This summer we are running two to soft ball to hard ball sessions to coincide with the week of the final of the Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup - hopefully we can catch the spirit from the competition! 💙

The details of the sessions...
- Free of charge
- Open to women only (aged 16+)
- No hard ball experience needed
- No hard ball equipment needed
- Come in comfortable sports attire (no spikes as the sessions will predominantly be in the nets)

🏏 Session 1
When: Wednesday 1st July
Where: City of Ely CC, Newnham Street, Ely, CB7 4PQ
Time:6-8pm

🏏 Session 2
When: Friday 3rd July
Where: Thriplow CC, Fowlmere Road, Thriplow, SG8 7QU
Time: 6-8pm

We encourage any women playing soft ball cricket who would like to test the waters with hard ball cricket in a fun, safe and inclusive environment to sign up!

This summer we are running two to soft ball to hard ball sessions to coincide with the week of the final of the Women's T20 Cricket World Cup - Let's catch the spirit of the competition!

The details of the sessions...
-FREE of charge
-Open to women only (aged 16+)
-No hard ball experience needed

🏏Lots of matches coming up today, both our boys and girls County Age Group teams in action both home and away

📣Today, we’re delighted to announce the third of our Winter Wonders winners!

🏆 The Coaching Award goes to Jonathan Powell of

As Head Coach of Coton CC, Jonathan recognised that a group of young players were on the verge of making the transition from junior cricket to Under 15 & potentially into adult cricket.

Determined to give them the best possible opportunity to succeed, Jonathan organised a winter coaching programme running from November through to March, including a specialist batting coach to help each of the players.

This has had a tremendous impact, both on player skill & confidence but also player retention and availability and has stabilised the junior section at Coton CC

Jonathan’s commitment, vision and dedication to developing young cricketers make him a truly deserving recipient of this award 👏

🏏👏 Another successful weekend of cricket for our county age group squads 💙

➡️ BU13
Match 1 - Cambridgeshire reached 73 needed in just 12 overs! F Fox-Brown, W Perry & O Thomson were the pick of the bowlers taking at least 2 wickets a piece.
Match 2 - Cambridgeshire won by 78 runs, with strong batting from the top order with T Lance (43), D Sajog (25) and A Dora (27) and great bowling performances from E Kumar 4/10 and W Perry 3/8. 💪

➡️ GU13
The GU13 travelled to Felixstowe for 2xT20 matches.
In match 1, Ottilia W found the pitch to her liking & top scored with 29 with Aashvi A following with 23 contributing to a healthy total of 146. Suffolk were bowled out in 14 overs for 54. Marianne G took 2 wickets, and Angelica G took 2 in the first 4 balls of her over. 👏

In Match 2, Aashvi A & Molly K both took 2 wickets and Anna B took a well-deserved 3. Orla C (43*) and Aditi T (21) made light of what could have been a tricky target but, Cambridgeshire achieved the target with the loss of only a single wicket! 👍

➡️ BU14
Our Cambridgeshire U14 boys just fell short of a 231-run chase against Hertfordshire in Ely on Sunday, in spite of a commanding 98 from Dhrona I! 🔥

Lots of bowling highlights, including a 3-wicket haul from Gabi H and, with a doubling down on fielding, the boys look forward to some success in their next match against Suffolk on the 21st June. 🏏

➡️ BU15
The Cambridgeshire U15 Boys hosted Cricket East (Bedfordshire) this Sunday. Choosing to bat, Cambridgeshire made 302-6, with Cillian H reaching with 99 and Zach W scoring 79. Beds hung on to the run rate up to the halfway stage but fell behind thanks to some tight bowling and were cleaned up for 189, Neel K finishing with 6-20, securing the win for Cambs by 113 runs. 💪

We look forward to next week’s matches when the boys U13, U14, U15 & U18 and the girls U13 & U14 are all playing. 💙

What a difference one person can make👏

👏We’re delighted to announce the second of our Winter Wonder winners, Edmund Harcourt , who has been awarded our Outstanding Achievement Award! 🏆

Over the winter, Edmund has overseen the biggest single project undertaken by Ickleton CC since the club was reformed in 2013- the installation of a brand-new two-lane net facility.

This much-needed development will support the continued growth of cricket at the club, providing a high-quality training environment for Senior Men, Women, Boys and Girls for years to come.

Edmund was the driving force behind the fundraising effort, securing grants from Sport England and the ECB, alongside support from local charities and sponsors, helping to raise more than £30,000. His vision, determination and countless hours of hard work have transformed an ambitious idea into a lasting legacy for the club.

The committee at Ickleton CC describe Edmund as the backbone of the project, and it’s easy to see why.

👏Congratulations, Edmund, on this well-deserved recognition and thank you for everything you’ve done for your club and community.

📣🏏 The Cambridgeshire Cricket Girls and Boys U13’s County Age Group (CAG) pathway for the 2026–27 season is now open for Expressions of Interest!

We’re looking for talented and committed players to join our Girls and Boys U13 county pathway, offering access to high-quality coaching, competitive fixtures, and a route into representative cricket.

➡️ Under 13 Boys & Girls (School Year 8 from September 2026)
📝 Submit your Expression of Interest by 6pm on 19th July 2026 via the link in our bio

To be eligible, players must:
🏏 Live in Cambridgeshire
🏏 Attend school in Cambridgeshire
🏏 Play for a Cambridgeshire club
🏏 Or have been born in the county
