The Katy North Academy of Dance and Cheer (formally L.A Dance Club) teaches fun and friendly dance classes in Street dance, Rock n Roll, Latin American and Musical Theatre to children 4 years+

All staff are fully qualified and have a passion for dance.

A fab day of rehearsals today, the staff and I are so incredibly proud of all of our students. Their hard work, passion and determination leading up to the show has been truly inspiring.

Show choreography has been filmed and uploaded to Dropbox file (which you can access via the link you were emailed). All classes are on there but there are two missing videos which are:

• K Twist - One Hit Wonders
• Street 1- Gangsters and Molls - Molls section (gangsters section is on Dropbox link).

Apologies these two were filmed but whilst editing I realised they both contained an error so need to be refilmed. I will do this Wednesday and upload on Thursday.

☀️ Brand new for this summer ☀️

On Sunday 23rd August at Jubilee Hall, Eaton Socon, we are running an afternoon of classes in Cheer Dance, Lyrical, Street Dance Technique, American Smooth and Latin American Technique.

We wanted a chance to teach some classes we can’t normally fit in our timetable as well as do some technique focused lessons in Street Dance and Latin American (subjects on our timetable that are well loved). Lessons are £8 each.

Students are welcome to book on for one or multiple classes - please note Latin American Technique is only available to Latin students who have been doing Latin for 1 year+.

Please comment below or email to book your space. Payment for these classes will be due on 1st August.

Class timings:
1-2pm Lyrical (7-18 years)
2-3pm Cheer (7-18 years)
3-4pm Street Dance technique (7 years-18 years)
4-5pm American Smooth (9-18 years)
5-6pm Latin technique (Must be a Latin student and have been taking classes for 1 year+)

Rock ‘n’ Roll classes - 9 years+

What we love about this class:

After the show we will be starting a beginners class (this will run alongside our advanced Rock ‘n’ Roll class with a separate teacher).

First 2 lessons are free - no obligation to join after free trial. Special offer to current students - 3 free lessons instead of 2 when trying Rock ‘n’ Roll for the first time.

Class details:
Wednesdays
6.45-7.15pm
Jubilee Hall, Eaton Socon
Free trial and then £5.25 a session (discount if your child takes multiple styles of dance with us - 10% for 2 classes, 15% for 3 classes, 20% for 4 classes).

You do not need a partner to join.

Class starting Wednesday 17th June.

A huge congratulations to Olivia who took part in the IDTA Street scholarships today. Olivia was nominated to take part and is one of only 304 candidates chosen from over 5000 students! She danced in the 18+ category with 33 other dancers. She had to learn a routine taught by D’Jon McTernan, a member of Flawless and dance it in front of an auditorium full of people. We are so proud of Olivia for shining outside of her comfort zone and delivering such a brilliant performance. You did K Dance proud 🖤🩵🤍

Everyone should have received costume lists via email. We have printed copies that will be going out in class from tomorrow onwards. Attached to those costume lists is the rundown for the show.

Those that need to purchase items from us (girls in Junior Street Saturday, Street 1 Wednesday, Rosettes, Street 3) once you have made payment your child will receive these items in class.

Any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.
