JT fitness started in 2012..

It started off as a wish.. I wished to not follow in the footsteps of many of those around me

Stuck in a 9-5
Worked for the weekend
Then blow an entire weeks pay in a single night down at the bar
Repeat for ever ?

Nah, fu*k that !

Helping others has brought me so so much joy that my wish as a 19 year old lad has been achieved!

Now the 33 year old me has new expectations.. for a new life, a life I once never could even dream about.. one I figured was only for someone else, someone more lucky, fortunate, born into circumstances.

I look forward to looking back on this post, once I’m this old dude with a large Red cup of black coffee. Chilling by water with some kind of fancy ass car out front 😂

How was your morning weigh in ?

Did it leave you feeling 😃 or 😭

Because either way it shouldn’t !

Because your goal isn’t weight drop.. it’s fat loss

So are you tracking that ? If you’re just using the scales you aren’t

Instead track body measurements
Take progress pictures (yes the first ones SUCK)
Have an item of clothing you couldn’t fit into and re test weekly / fortnightly

Shredded by the way of repetition

This one we wanted 0 decision fatigue.

Workout 3 times per week, plus jiujutsu
Progress on the strength, plus hard on the HIIT

Food, get 3 meals and repeat 6 days a week
Saturday enjoy yourself

That was it
This is the secret to his success

You should hear .77 journey !

Started his journey out like most, felt uncomfortable in his own skin.
Tried to do it himself .. failed
Trained with a buddy .. did okay
Reached out for coaching .. BOOM

We cut out the stuff that I knew wasn’t working for him and implemented a training style he’d enjoy and push hard on

There was no wild change to his lifestyle we just doubled down on enjoyable, hard training..

And well, the results speak for themselves 👌

And I’ll break down why there ranked this way below 👇

This list I took into consideration many things, nutrient density, versatility, cost, and macros.. there’s some big exclusions and questionable ranking to some I’m sure!
But let me know in the comments where I got it right or completly wrong !

Alright here we go..
5️⃣ Salmon, expensive and not everyone likes fish.. but great protein! And a mega source of Omega 3 which most of us lack on.. 1 serving a week id aim for

4️⃣ Beef mince, particularly 5% any more the fat content just starts to dull this IMO.. another amazing protein, not too expensive but definitely a treat. Mince is incredibly versatile too. Lots of vitamins and minerals can’t go wrong here

🥉Whey protein. I think this is will cause debate ! Honestly cost, macros and versatility is why I’m rating this so high! Yes it lacks in areas so I couldn’t rate it higher. But those starting out on your fitness journey it’s not a bad thing to add in, especially those on a budget
