maybe if I signed up I could look like that too.

it may seem like competition prep is simply eating chicken and broccoli out of Tupperware, getting your workout in every day and living on the stair master however, there is way more that meets the eye.

💜Competition prep will likely take longer than you originally expected.

💜To achieve a competitive physique, you will have to have lean muscle mass and have been training for at least 1 + years. it takes time.. So if you have fat to lose and muscle to gain– you will need to work on one goal at a time. For most people, this will require at least one phase of Reverse Dieting and building muscle of 6-18 months and THEN a cutting phase

💜Stage lean is probably leaner and more extreme than you think.

💜The first question you really need to ask yourself is how flexible am I with my timeline?

💜You have to be committed to making a lifestyle change.

💜As coaches, we can’t always predict how quickly you will progress.

💜You need to start with a healthy metabolism and relationship with food.

💜we recommend being in a position where you have been consistent with balanced nutrition and training for a full year before starting a competition prep.

💜You need the right motivation and timing.

💜Are you doing is for the right reasons? competing is a personal choice and a hobby!

💜Many start a competition prep because they just want to look like a competitor without actually competing. It’s a necessary to track everything every day be 200% with your steps cardio, training, posing, meals, check ins coaching, water and sleep..a lot of this requires social sacrifice. things get expensive. (My other post) Having the experience of competing is exciting and rewarding, however, keep in mind that it’s an extreme sport with the end goal being that you get on stage and that the physique that you gain from competing is temporary.

💜If things are not stable with your health, your relationships, ect..you may find that when your competition prep gets tough (and it does at one point or another) you just don’t have the right motivation to stay in it.

If you’ve read all the above and are still game ..Can you 😈

Don’t abandon yourself for the potential you see in someone else. 💜

You're looking to compete, but unsure on what division you are best suited for. Then this post may be just for you.

Different divisions emphasize different sizes, styles, and levels of conditioning. Firstly we need to determine the best fit for your physique, your development, and your goals. My body is best suited for figure, I have a small frame, wide shoulders and personally I just love to train my entire body.

The degree of conditioning and muscularity will intensify as you go from local to national shows.
Whether it's Figure, physique, bikini, wellness, fitness or womens bodybuilding. What is the criteria that the judges are looking for.

Bikini - one of the most popular women's divisions by far. This division requires less muscular development and really focuses on glute development and hamstrings, a small taper on the Lats, rounded shoulders and a small waist.

Wellness - one of the most upcoming divisions, judges are looking for competitors to showcase more muscle mass in the hips, glutes and thigh areas. The upper body is developed but not to the same degree as the lower body.

Figure - requires more developed physique and achieving muscular symmetry and proportion. judges are looking for the x frame look. Small wait and wide shoulders. The competitor should have good muscularity, with separation but with no visible striations.

Women's Physique (WPD) - judges are looking for symmetry, shape, proportion, muscle tone, and poise.  Competitors also perform an individual posing routine at the judging, as well as a 90-second routine to music at the finals.

Women's Bodybuilding - balance of size, symmetry, and muscularity is the main focus of this division. Judges are looking for conditioning, muscle separations and striations.

Comment down below what division you are or wish to be in. 🫶
