🌟🌟🌟 Boxing Day +1 🌟🌟🌟

Just a reminder that our annual fancy dress get together will be held on 27th December.

A boat will be provided and will be on the water from approx 10.30 am.

There's only one rule- If you want to go on the water you must be in fancy dress! 🎅🏻🦹🏼👮🏼‍♂️👩🏻‍🎤🥸🤠

This is a terrifically fun day with a Christmassy atmosphere.

Hello all,

Just a reminder that this Saturday, 9th November, is our end of season work day and AGM. (See email for details)

Work will start at 10am, with a break lunchtime for bacon rolls, followed by the AGM at 3pm. For anyone who would like to stay afterwards, our intention is to walk down to the riverside and watch the fireworks.

Please could you confirm your attendance and bring any equipment you feel would be useful. We as members are responsible for the upkeep of the club so please could everyone make the effort to attend.

We would especially like to thank Johnsons of Old Hurst for some fantastic burgers and sausages.

It started out a wet one, but by midday the sun started to make an appearance. Photographic evidence below ⬇️⬇️⬇️

☀️☀️☀️Summer Fun Day ☀️☀️☀️
& Camping Weekend 2024

Just a reminder that this years Summer Fun Day will be on Saturday 6th July, 10am till dusk.

There will be two boats on the water all day, games and activities and a lunchtime bbq. Please bring gazebos and inflatables!

The lake will be closed to all other boats on this day.

This event is free for members of the club, there will however be a fee for guests which includes food and drink and any water activities (£10 per Adult, £5 per Child).

*** Please confirm your attendance, with numbers attending, by Monday 1st July at the latest in order for us to finalise plans for the day ***

We will also be hosting a Camping Weekend from Friday 5th - Sunday 7th at an additional cost of £5 per person, per night. Payment should be paid via BACS with the reference 'LR__ Camping'.

We have room for a maximum of 3 caravans and 5 tents. These spaces must be booked before the weekend. You will be advised where to pitch.

The usual Camping Weekend and Club Rules will apply. These are up on the notice board in the Clubhouse. Please get in touch if you would like a copy emailed to you.

Quick reminder, start of season workday this Saturday (23rd)

Good afternoon,

Just a quick note to remind you that we have the Work Day and AGM on Saturday the 4th November.

Please can all members make an effort to attend and support the club. At the end of the day, we as members are the ones who are responsible for the upkeep of the club.

Please also confirm attendance!

The work day will start at 10:00 followed by the AGM at 15:00 which will finish by 16:00. Followed by some Food (likely Pizza). After a quick clear up in the Clubhouse, the intention is to walk down to the riverside in town and watch the Hemingford Fireworks which start at 18:30.

Workday jobs include:
* Benches stacked away
* Grass mown
* Foliage cleared
* Weeds removed
* Secure jump
* Slalom course prepared for winter
* Clean clubhouse
* Ensure stream to rear of clubhouse is clear
* Clear rear of clubhouse (Chainsaws & strimmers etc)


Equipment: Please can you bring any equipment which you feel will be useful.

Following the AGM we will have an end of season get together with food and a few drinks too. (please confirm your attendance so we know who to cater for and include any dietary requirements). Following a little clearing up a few of us will walk into town and watch the Hemingford Fireworks from the Riverside, followed by a few drinks in town.

Please see the agenda for the AGM attached to the email sent out yesterday. As we do every year the committee will resign in accordance with CASC rules. Currently all committee members plan to restand. However, if anyone would like to become a committee member please reach out to any of us and we will be more than happy to talk you though the roles. Any input is welcomed so please don't be afraid of reaching out to any of us.

If you have any topics you would like to raise at the AGM please get in touch too. I would also ask for any other business (AOB) to be sent to the committee ahead of time so we can make sure we have enough time to discuss.

Just a reminder - The deadline for confirming attendance to the Club's Annual Fun Day is tomorrow!

We shall be purchasing all food and drink this week so please be sure to name all attending, including guests, and any dietary requirements.

If you turn up on the day we cannot guarantee you will be catered for.

Please note: The lake will be closed to all other boats on this day.

The event is free for members, there will however be a charge for guests.

Please reply by message or email confirming numbers attending, by Monday 17th July at the latest, as we need to finalise plans for the day.

Camping will also be allowed from Friday 21st - Sunday 23rd at a cost of £5 per person, per night. Payment should be paid via BACS with the reference 'your boat number and Camping'.

We have room for a maximum of 3 caravans and 5 tents. These spaces will be prioritised to those who actively participate at workdays and must be booked in before the weekend.

Please remember -
1. Be considerate to all members of the club when pitching.
2. Where possible use the flat area on the left of the bay furthest from the clubhouse.
3. No caravans to be parked on the gravel parking area.
4. Nothing is to be stored in the clubhouse or changing rooms.
5. Bbq's are allowed, but no open fires on the ground.
