Sproughton Tennis Club Sproughton Tennis is a small tennis club just outside Ipswich. 3 hard courts, 2 floodlit.

Founded in 1962, Sproughton Tennis Club currently has 3 painted macadam courts, 2 of which are floodlit. We have many teams of varying standards and are always looking for new members either for team play, social tennis or both! We have junior coaching on Thursday afternoons running through the Summer and Autumn terms for ages 5-16 in 3 separate groups.

Very proud to have delivered a first ever Junior Tennis Grand Prix (TGP) at St John’s tennis club. Orange Ball tournament. 2 players who’d booked on didn’t come.
To top it off, Theo Durmishi winning 1st place on his home courts. Only 4 points separating 4th & 1st place. Theo winning a crucial last match against the boy who finished 2nd. (10-7 win).
3 SJ players competing, & doing very well. Some great tennis played throughout. Junior helpers did a fantastic job. 🎾🎾🎾👍😄😄

Huge congrats to Hei Hei today. Playing in a Tennis Grand Prix Green Ball tournament at Stowmarket. Won his first 2 matches 7-6 tie break (3-3) & 4-1. Lost last match against a Suffolk Tennis player. So 2 wins from 3. Really long rallies / matches. Brilliant performance from Hei Hei. Super proud of him. Lots of improvement & development since the last time at Stowmarket.

Congrats to both Theo and Sahasra playing in a TGP Orange Ball tournament at ISC today. Both winning most of their games and playing some very good tennis in the process. Just missing out on the top prize awards by hardly any points. Keep it going guys. Sahasra playing in her first ever tournament. Experienced gained for both. Onto the next one. Well done again guys. 👍🎾🎾

Got to watch some of Theo playing in a Grade 5 U9 orange ball tournament at ISC yesterday. Played really well. Having some great technique & shape, & super serving. Won 2 matches, & very narrowly lost out on 3, 9-10,9-10 & 8-10. Could easily have been more wins. Very proud of his development & court conduct.
Well done Theo. Been training with me since age 5, & now playing some lovely tennis - making his coach feel very proud. 👍🎾😁

>Red Ball 4-5pm, >Orange Ball 5-6pm & >Yellow Ball 6-7pm.

I will be looking to create new junior lesson availability from April, for Monday-Friday from 4-6pm, possibly 7/8pm dependent on court availability & demand. This gives an opportunity (highly recommended) to participate in an extra lesson each week. This will help gain faster player development/improvement & understanding.
Please contact me to let me know your child(s) availability & preferred lesson time, along with age(s). I can then begin to work on creating appropriate lessons for specific age related groups.

Please let me know if anyone is keen to try/participate in a new Tennis Cardio (tennis inspired) tennis lesson. Done to music 130-145bpm. Burn up to 300-1000 calories. LTA actual themed lessons. 😀🎾👍🎾

Looking forward to Spring & beginning lessons at Sproughton Tennis Club.
Aiming to have daily lessons available = opportunity to add additional lessons. Playing 2 times a week will see faster development & inprovement. When children learn the basic racket work/footwork/bodywork, can rally & serve, then they will enjoy the game of tennis so much more. 😀🎾👍😀🎾
