Kinesiotaping for the relief of bunion related pain.

Whilst taping cannot 'fix' a bunion, it can be a helpful aid to temporarily reliving pain and allowing symptoms to settle down. The tape helps to offload the painful area whilst maintaining more flexibility in the foot compared to some of the more rigid supports available. This is a very quick and simple technique for fast relief. In an ideal world this technique would be supported by exercises to give longer term relief or, in some more severe cases, in the wait period leading up to corrective surgery if that has been recommended.

I've had a lunchtime zoom meeting today with Emma Holly from Restore Scar Therapy preparing for this event on Sunday, where I'll be volunteering and offering scar therapy to young adult burn survivors alongside other scar therapy colleagues. Im looking forward to being a part of it and meeting both the attendees and therapist.
