Dear Parents, Players & Coaches
We are excited to invite your aspiring Judoka(players) to the Cherry All Stars U8’s Judo Festival & U15’s Mini-Mon Open.

This event is set to take place:

· Sunday, 9th June 24
· Deans Sport & Leisure in Lincoln (LN2 5HQ).
· There is free parking and an open café on site.
Our goal is to bring together young judo enthusiasts to showcase their skills and sportsmanship. The competition will start with the under 8's category, followed by the red and yellow belt categories for 8-14 years inclusive. This will provide a valuable opportunity for growth and development.

There is an entry fee to pay however we have given club members discount.

Competition Format:

Group A Under 8’s - 6,7 years old All players will be weighed and put into groups of four and will participate in randori with each of their group members. There will be no medal placings, all will receive a participation medal.

Group B: U15 Mini-Mon - Where possible competitors will be divided into pools of four or five based on gender, grade, and weight.

Note: The tournament director (external) reserves the right to amend weight categories as necessary. BJA technical restrictions will apply throughout.


The Cherry All Stars event is not just a competition; it’s a chance for young judokas to improve their skills, meet other enthusiasts, and contribute to the judo community. Building on the success of last year, we promise a memorable experience.

Session 1: Arrive at 615 pm (to help put the mats out).
Session ends 730 pm.

Session 2: Starts 730 pm

If you haven’t already been contacted to attend the 2nd session, then just turn up at the first session at 615 pm.

This time change is due to the dance class (before us) not finishing until 615 pm.

1st Sho grade - to pass this grade one of the requirements is for the Judoka to independently tie their own belt.

Daily practice just once will help them to achieve this… for 1 minute
