Wow! What do I even say… where do I start?

I think by saying how amazing this bunch of girls are. They take everything in their stride.
It’s been a whirlwind of a month for this team, with myself being on maternity leave and popping back for literally 2 sessions of rehearsals before this event.

⚠️ HONEST POST INCOMING… these things happen.

So how today started before walking on the floor for their first routine…
✨ The team started with Millie kindly filling in last minute due to a member of the team having to pull out.
✨ We have Evelynn who had a slight injury over the last week, so she’s been a total trooper today.
✨ We had a few members today not feeling 100%
✨ 1 member finished work at 10am this morning and travelled straight in to get in to costume and on the warm up floor (big shout out to parent Kayley for helping).
✨ Shakira literally had a nosebleed mid routine and continued to figure out how to finish without letting the team down!

💖WALK ROUTINE!💖
Incredible routine! They totally did their thing.
Brought the sass! Strut their stuff and Ruby even lost her weave 🤣🤣🤣
Shakira managed to still look awesome whilst tackling her nosebleed.
Skills were fabulous due to stand in Millie.
Performance was next level as always, wouldn’t expect any less.
I think from an outsider’s point of view they’d have never have known we had some poorly members on that floor with last minute changes.

NO GYMNASTS WERE HARMED DURING THIS PERFORMANCE (just 😅).
Taking CAUTION to a whole new meaning.

Big shout out to Annabelle for overcoming a total body slam to the floor, having a second to catch her breath and running back on the floor so she didn’t let the girls down for the group skills. Total team player bless her!

One thing we can definitely say about our girls is that they literally do this not only for them, but for each other. They’re so selfless like that. No “I” in Team! Totally shows at Astrid.

Well done to the rest of the girls for continuing to adapt the routine on the floor, in the moment. They’ve been taught to improvise and that they did. I seriously don’t think the audience will have noticed any adaptations made there. Genius!

But hey! The Choreography was awesome! 🎉
Performed full out by these girlies.

Eeee I tell you what, I have chuckled this entire event. Sometimes things happen in this sport that’s unexpected. It’s a tough sport! But when you’ve got an awesome bunch of girls that rally together and support one another. That’s what it’s about.

If I could give a team a trophy for ploughing through some madness that this event. They’d be my winners hands down! 🙌🏼

Keep supporting each other girls and making the funniest memories ever! 🫣🤭

🪏TOMORROW!🖤
North East Festival here we come!
Well… what a month 🙈
It’s been eventful for the team this month, but they’re ploughing through and have made adaptions for tomorrow.

Coach Hannah has been on maternity so has popped in twice, that’s 2 rehearsals they’ve had for tomorrow 😂
The lovely Millie is stepping in as we have a gymnast that’s had to pull out due to unforeseen circumstances.
We have an injured top 🙈
Our main girlie Shakira has had an incident today, so has been resting ready for tomorrow.

So tomorrow, the team are going to go out there and just enjoy it! Sparkle on the floor regardless and work as the team they are and make more memories.
Let’s be honest they could be hilarious memories tomorrow and we will just chuckle about it 😂

Sometimes these things happen with being part of a team and as always we’re proud of the adaptions they’ve made to still participate in the event 💪🏽

💦POOL PARTY FUN!💦
Was great to see some of our members all enjoying an hours fun together out of the club.

Huge thank you to those that attended and helped to raise funds for the teams trip to Portugal in 2027. Really is appreciated and was even better to see them all having fun.
