Yesterday we attended Spennymoor town Gala for the 2nd year. Next year you can look forward to more dancing from us than walking 💃🏽 🚶‍♀️ 🤠 making memory’s with our dance family is what we love doing 🤍🧡🖤

What a crazy couple of weeks, last two weekends at Karen Shiel School Of Dance competition with great results, improvements and new dances in some pretty big sections. To this week, first week of our home competition. Thank you to each and every dancer that attended today and tried their hardest. Special thanks to my parents who helped with the running of the day, we couldn’t be there without you.
Huge thanks to the schools Macadam School of Dance CIC, Sonya Marie Academy of Dance, Katie’s Dance Academy, Platform Perform thank you for putting up with my useless timetabling and imaginary competitors, got to keep you on your toes some how!! 🤦🏽‍♀️
And last, but by no means least, thank you to our adjudicator Yasmeen Afzal for all your kind words of encouragement, and supportive feedback. See you all next week for round two 🤍🧡🖤

Happy new year to all at Unity Dance Centre, we’ve squeezed sooooo much into 2023, but I bet we can do even more in 2024!! We already have 3 competitions lined up, and our first ever show as UDC. 🤍🧡🖤
Hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas with family and friends, can’t wait to see you all in 2024 and start show work. My head is full of ideas and creativity. Love you all x x

Last competition of the year completed. Thank you Macadam School of Dance CIC for having us. Always a lovely, friendly atmosphere between the schools here and I appreciate building bonds with teachers too, it doesn’t go unnoticed 🥰
Some great dancing and trophies won over the two weeks. Well done to all my dancers, this week and last. Especially those who danced solo for their first time. I’m super proud.
It took us a little while to get into our swing this comp and some times we were just hands down out danced by the fab competition from all pupils at macadam, Harlequin Stage School, Sonya Marie Academy of Dance and Platform Perform.
Thank you to gemma of Greenhaff Dance School for lovely, creative and constructive support on the comment cards.

Well done too all our competitors at Rachel Wilson’s comp last two weeks.
Special mentions for Holly Thompson who has won adjudicators choice 6-7 years.
Brigid Molloy who has won adjudicators choice 8-9 years (second year in a row after winning 6-7 years last year too)
Eden copinger who won all round performer of the comp.
Great placings both weekends, very proud of every dancer who attended, but it’s not all about the dancing. I had lovely comments from other teachers and the adjudicator about our dancing but also in respect of kind personalities which shined through these last two weekends 😘😘😘 love you all miss charlotte
