🩶⚽️AMU Weekly Match Round Up⚽️🩶
First weekend of the league and it didn’t disappoint.
U11s Saturday
Playing a local team Chilton the lads started off slow and going behind by 2 goals at one point then rallying around each other to get a comeback win.
🏆Coaches play went to Flynn with his threat in the box and bagging 2 goals
🏆Oppositions player went to Lucas for his 1v1 attacking and tracking back to defend.
U12s Greys Sunday
A great 5-0 win over Greatham FC. A very close game in the first half with the AMU boys going in 1-0 up at half time. The second half seen the boy take charge of the game and dominate with some brilliant attacking football from the back to the front with the lads scoring 4.
🏆Coaches player went to Issac with great attacking play scoring a goal and an assist
🏆Oppositions player went to Teddy for his physicality and desire to get the ball bagging him self a hat-trick ⚽️⚽️⚽️.
U13s Greys Saturday
Whilst coming away with a 3-1 defeat to Deerness it wasn’t for not trying going 1-0 down early on the team stuck in and got the score level with a brilliant set piece from a corner Junior crossing the ball in for Noah to volley it home. AMU then hammered the oppositions goal with shot after shot only for the oppositions keeper to have a blinder keeping them out. Sloppiness at the back allowed Deerness to go ahead before the break 2-1 half time. The team then pushed and pushed for the equaliser in the second for the opposition break to get there 3rd to settle it.
🏆Coaches award went to the whole team for giving their all and we were unlucky not to come away with anything.
U13s Girls Saturday
First competitive game for the newly formed team seen them travel to Bishop Auckland girls seen a 3-0 defeat. Still without a keeper an outfield player stepped in to help out. The girls went 1-0 down in the first half but still tried to play good football how it should be done. In the second bishop grabbed 2 more to settle it late on. Nerves maybe got the better this time but there’s great things to come from this group of girls. Watch this space💪.

U11s Sunday
Another newly formed team for AMU in their first league game seeing them go out as outright winners against FC Teesside. Playing some amazing football making them to hot to handle a great all round performance.

U14s Girls Sunday
The girls hosted Newton Aycliffe youth and suffed a 1-3 defeat, with keeper Erin away at an England lionesses weekend it was down to defender Emily to go between the sticks. The girls gave a great effort and kept it close with Amiee bagging a goal but just falling short this time.
🏆Coaches player went to Emily for stepping in as the keeper and putting a great performance in.
U13s Sunday
Travelled to Kader for a midday kickoff. Knowing it’s a strong physical side the lads started well playing their impressive football only to go behind to a couple of errors 1 giving a pen away so the boy went into the break the better team but 2-0 down. Second half was impressive the lads come out playing their football and having the determination bang in 3 goals to take the lead only for Kader to pull it back level 3-3. The AMU boys weren’t letting that happen and off they went again putting in 2 goals to settle the game. Brodie with 2 Theodore with 2 and Logan 1.
From 2 down half time to 3-5 winners💪.
