Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope you are all doing well.
I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the incredible support you have shown our club and service over the years. Your commitment and encouragement have helped us create a fantastic environment for our young people, and I truly appreciate everything you do.
I’m delighted to share some exciting news about the future of the club. After much thought, I believe the time is right to return to our roots and begin an exciting new chapter with a fresh rebuild and renewed vision. I want Believe sport to continue to be successful and for many children to love our sessions.
As part of this, I will be making a significant financial investment into our football sessions. From September, we will be introducing new goals, upgraded equipment, and improved resources to enhance the experience for every child. I have also made the decision to expand our coaching team within the Comets sessions by introducing an additional experienced coach to provide even greater support and development opportunities, with the aim of helping children transition into the Development Session group.
We are also in exciting discussions with Holbeach United about creating a joint collaboration to become an official football club partnership. Our aim is to offer regular monthly fixtures from October through to July, using Holbeach United’s excellent 3G facilities for match days, as well as hosting spring and summer tournaments. If everything progresses as planned, we hope to run both a Spalding football session and a Holbeach football session, giving families more choice and creating even more opportunities for children to play and develop.
We will also continue to work closely with the amazing Special Olympics Lincolnshire and local organisations and community partners, including Inspire+, to ensure we provide the best possible opportunities for our young people.
Alongside our football plans, we are reinvesting in our social and youth club by introducing breakout tents and more structured activities, including themed sessions and engaging group experiences to make every visit enjoyable and memorable.
I am deeply passionate about Believe Sports and Services CIC and firmly believe in the positive impact that our sessions have on young people. My goal is not only to ensure that every child continues to love attending our sessions but also to provide clear opportunities for personal growth, social development, teamwork, confidence, and, where possible, progression into more competitive activities.
This is an incredibly exciting time for our club, and I cannot wait to share this journey with all of you. Thank you once again for your continued trust and support. Together, we can build something truly special for our children and our community.
To celebrate these exciting changes, we will also be refreshing our club logo, and we would love to hear the views of both parents, guardians, and children to help choose our new design. This is something I am personally very excited about.
