Day 2 for the dinghies Southwold Sailing Club Regatta 2026. Challenging but exhilarating sailing conditions left the fleet exhausted but smiling, after 2 days of excellent racing at sea.
Congratulations to all who took part, and a big thank you for everyone on land and sea who helped before, during and after putting this annual event together.
And for our winners some great prizes kindly donated by Dolphin Sails and Covers and Compass Rigging

A great turnout for yesterday’s SSC Regatta Weekend dinghy racing. Javelins, RS Feva’s, Wayfarers, Lasers, a 420 and a Topper for good measure. All out on a lovely flat Walberswick Bay with a sailable breeze most of the time.
Day 2 for the dinghies today with better winds forecast.

Great to see new members out at sea yesterday. Perfect conditions for a gentle passage down to the pier and back.
Preparation is key for next weekend’s SSC Regatta.

🌒 Eclipse Night at the Club — Open House, Everyone Welcome!
We're opening the bar specially on Wednesday 12th August from 6pm for the eclipse — and there's no better spot to watch it than from our balcony, looking out over the water.
This is an open house — you don't need to be a member to come along. Never been down to the club before? This is the perfect excuse. Come and see what makes Southwold Sailing Club special — a warm welcome, a great bar, and one of the best views in town.

Yesterday’s annual race to the Sizewell Kittiwake Hotel. A 3 hour sea passage in glorious conditions.
Lasers, Javelins and a Laser 2000 all joining. Congratulations to all those taking part. Another great day’s sailing Southwold Sailing Club

🏁 The wait is over!

Today, Hugh and Daniel launch for the start of the 420 World Championships, proudly representing Great Britain and, closer to home, Southwold Sailing Club on the world stage.

Their place at the Championships was earned through a winter of tough qualifying regattas, culminating in an outstanding performance at the RYA Youth National Championships.

To see two of our own competing against the world’s best is a fantastic achievement, and everyone at Southwold Sailing Club is incredibly proud of them. Fair winds, good racing and enjoy every minute. We’ll all be cheering you on from Southwold! ⛵💙
