Underneath your trapezius muscle in the lower region are your rhomboids, by activating these with this exercise you’ll improve your shoulder joint health & scapular (shoulder blade) stability.

You’ll also activate your serratus anterior which is the muscle used to pull your scapular (shoulder blade) forward around your thorax (rib cage) to keep it from winging πŸ‘πŸ½ this is important for a healthy posture and will help you get stronger on your push exercises by increasing your stability!
