SJBC is a junior badminton club for children 7-17 who are enthusiatic and willing to learn. Teams play at all age groups in the Notts Junior League.

It was the 2026 Southwell Junior Badminton Club annual tournament today. Competitors, winners and runner ups, in all age groups from U10 to U16, are shown in the pictures below. Some really close competitive games and well done to all! 👏 🏆

20/12/2025

Today was our Christmas tournament, where children wore Christmas headwear and jumpers. One coach, in his elf outfit, took time off from helping Santa and arranged fun games with a variety of forfeits. A great time was had by all and the winning team (two members had to leave before the picture was taken) won the gold coins. Merry Christmas everyone and see you in the new year. 🏸 🎅🏻 🎄 🧝

SJBC club age group tournament yesterday. Here are the entrants in each respective age category and features the runner-up and trophy winners. Some very competitive games and all gained valuable experience. Well done everyone! 👏

Saturdays winners in the big session before the half term break. It was so close between all the teams and the winners won by 7 points, well done! 🏸 🏆

Winning team in our Christmas tournament and pictures of the forfeits some had to play with today (tennis rackets, squash rackets, beach bats, head covers, hats, shuttle tubes, one eyed glasses and cricket bat). Thanks to the mum who baked some mince pies, they were great! Well done to those who dressed in Christmas jumpers and/or hats.
