We are devastated by the recent passing of Geoff Cole.
Geoff was a much-loved trustee and played such an important role in the setting up and development of Southwater Ghyll CIO. He was a respected and valued member of our community and his kindness, commitment and contribution will be greatly missed.
Our thoughts are very much with Geoff’s family and loved ones today as we come together to celebrate his life and say our final farewells.
Rest in peace, Geoff. You will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by us all. 🧡💚

The Trustees of Southwater Ghyll CIO, thank all residents that were able to meet on the 30th June 2026.

The discussions were interesting and matters discussed have been considered and are being investigated, at this stage we are still proceeding with the next steps discussed at the meetings.

1. Review of the options and appointment of the main Contractor
2. Funding application
3. Programme to commence and complete the Works

The Ghyll is actively involved in other projects to enhance the facilities and to reduce the running costs. These include additional floor space with an extension and disabled access to the first-floor area as per the attached first draft plan. Once the plans are finalised we will then submit for planning consent along with the installation of solar panels.
