💛🖤 A BRILLIANT SUNDAY MORNING FOR OUR WILDCATS! 🖤💛⚽️

Some of our Wildcats took to the field this morning for an inter-club friendly against our Southport FC U9 Girls team.

The squad was made up mainly of our Wildcats girls and girls on our training plans, with a couple of players from our girls’ teams joining in to bolster the squad. 💪⚽️

It was a brilliant game, and considering that for some of the girls it was their very first football match, they represented themselves brilliantly! 👏

The atmosphere was fantastic, with plenty of encouragement and lots of proud smiles all around. Days like these are what grassroots football is all about — building confidence, making friends and creating opportunities for more girls to fall in love with the game. 💛

A huge well done to all the girls who took part. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves! 🖤💛

The future is bright for girls and our Wildcats! 🐾⚽️

Another brilliant morning with our Southport FC Wildcats! 💛🌟

The girls worked on their dribbling, turning and protecting the ball before putting those skills into practice in some 1v1 duels and showcasing them in small-sided games. ⚽👏

The fundamental objective is always to have fun and fall in love with football! 💛⚽ The smiles at the end of the session say it all, and we absolutely love our mornings with these girls. 🙌

⚽️🌟 Family Fun Day at Farnborough Road Infant School 🌟⚽️

We’re excited to be supporting the First Steps Family Fun Day this Wednesday, and our Southport FC Wildcats coaches are proud to be part of such a brilliant community event.

Throughout the day, we’ll be running fun football games, challenges and mini‑drills for children of all ages — all focused on enjoyment, confidence and giving every child a chance to shine. Expect lots of smiles, lots of energy, and plenty of opportunities to get involved.

This event is hosted by First Steps, an organisation whose mission sits right at the heart of our community:

“To make a positive and meaningful impact for children, families and community, through excellent childcare, staffing and support services. Children are at the heart of all we do.”

Their vision and values align perfectly with what we believe in at Southport FC Girls — creating safe, joyful spaces where children can grow, learn and feel supported.

With free activities, crafts, rides, face painting, wildlife experiences and more, it’s set to be a fantastic day for families across Southport.

Come along, join in the fun, and celebrate everything that makes our community special. 💛⚽

A huge well done to our Wildcats this morning — this group gets better every single week, and it’s brilliant to see their confidence growing.

Today the girls explored:

• Ball mastery to build close control
• Dribbling through interference and past defenders
• Shielding the ball using their body to stay strong in possession
• Shooting in 1vs1 duels to encourage bravery and quick decision‑making

They finished by taking all those skills into a competitive game — full of effort, teamwork and smiles.

If your daughter would like to try football in a fun, friendly and confidence‑building environment, our Wildcats sessions are the perfect place to start. No experience needed, just enthusiasm. We’d love to welcome new players into the group.

We also have a limited number of places left in our girls teams for next season, reach out for more details.
