Another brilliant weekend for our youth teams ☀️🔥
Despite the super hot weather, all the players showed fantastic effort, teamwork and attitude throughout the day — great to see everyone still giving it their all in those tough conditions!

Huge congratulations to all of this week’s POTM winners 👏⚽
You should all be proud of your performances and the way you represented the club.

A special shoutout as well to our Mini-Minister of the Week 🌟 for showing great encouragement, positivity and support for teammates both on and off the pitch.

Well done everyone — keep up the amazing work! 💙

Sorry this is a little late everyone… our social media manager started a new job today and completely forgot 🤦‍♂️😂

Southminster United Youth U13 Clarets were honoured to accept a special invitation from South Woodham Ferrers United U13 Blues to play under the floodlights at Burnham Ramblers FC’s Leslie Field Stadium, and would like to thank them for choosing the Southminster fixture for the occasion.

The Clarets put in a spirited performance on the night but were narrowly beaten 4-2 in an entertaining contest. South Woodham Ferrers started strongly and took a 2-0 lead into half-time, but Southminster showed tremendous character after the break to fight their way back into the match.💪

Goals from Dexter⚽️ and Owen⚽️ gave the Clarets hope and capped off a determined second-half display, with the team continuing to battle until the final whistle.

Despite the result, there were plenty of positives to take, with Southminster showing resilience, teamwork, and great attitude throughout against strong opposition in a memorable occasion under the lights.

🏆Player of the Match🏆 went to Terry for an outstanding performance, leading by example with his work rate, commitment, and quality throughout the game.

📖 MATCH SUMMARY
Southminster United produced a superb second-half comeback to lift the Division Two League Cup, overturning a half-time deficit in a hard-fought final under the lights at Witham Town FC.

Springfield Football Club started brightly and deserved their half-time lead, showing organisation, energy, and real quality throughout. They continued to battle right to the final whistle and can be proud of a strong performance on the big occasion.

Southminster responded after the break with improved intensity and purpose. Cameron Aley levelled the match from the penalty spot, before Owen James Moore delivered deep into time added on, finishing well to complete the turnaround and secure the trophy.

A determined team performance and late drama sealed a memorable cup final victory.
