I am experienced in coaching all levels, from accomplished swimmers doing marathon events, to newcomers looking to discover the joy and invigorating buzz of open-water dipping. I have always been obsessed with the water and I love helping swimmers move more efficiently and effortlessly in the sea or pool. My first job as a teenager was pool lifeguard and assistant swim teacher. At 18 I qualified a
s a scuba diver whilst working on a Conservation project in Belize. This was an amazing experience where I learnt to identify hundreds of different corals and fish. This was the start of my lifelong love of scuba diving. After graduating from university, I travelled in Asia and qualified as a professional scuba diver, living and working in Thailand as a Dive Master and Underwater Videographer. My love for making films eventually drew me back to London, where I began a 15-year career working in TV production for BBC, Channel 4 and numerous indies. A move to Leigh-on-sea eventually led me back to my first love, the sea, and open water swimming. This passion became my profession in 2021, as I qualified as an STA Open Water Swimming Coach.
