Getting him started young 💪🏼

Not sure what exercise this was but it was very cute.

30 minutes of strength today to kick off my week. Followed a YouTube video.

Home workouts featuring all the toys!

Between pauses to get snacks, help put his pilot into his airplane and check that big bunny was sleeping, I managed a 30 minute strength workout.

Almost didn’t do this short workout but feeling more energised for it. Sometimes the hardest part is just starting!

Did the most beautiful yoga class this morning at with Caroline from .

Probably the best class I have done in years! Caroline is such a skilled, caring and knowledgeable instructor and I can’t recommend this class enough.

She teaches Tuesdays at 10am and Thursdays at 8pm in this gorgeous studio.

Instagram, it’s been a while. Been busy with a toddler but back at it this week trying out the intro package at .fit Tunbridge Wells.

Today I made it to my first spinning class in ages. Tough leaving the house to cries of “more Mamma”, but filling up my cup so that I can be a better Mum and a better partner. January was a full on month of teething, tummy bugs and broken nights and I’ve been craving exercise and me time. Two yoga classes and a sweaty spin later and starting to feel calmer, happier and more energised. My exercise “routine” definitely looks a bit different these days but fitting it in when I feel I can and reaping the benefits 🤗🙌🏼🙏🏼

Today I did my 3rd workout since giving birth to my little man on 12th August. It felt really great, despite a fairly sleepless night last night.

My return to exercise has been much slower than I anticipated. Motherhood is by far the most challenging, full time job I’ve ever had. It’s wonderful but right now I’m exhausted. So it’s a toss up between do I workout or do I get some much needed sleep, do I workout or do I do some housework or make my self some food and a cuppa! Finding the motivation and time to exercise with a small baby can be tough.

Things will get easier I know. So until then, we’re just taking it day by day and my workouts will most likely be fairly sporadic for another wee while.

Any other mums feeling this way?

I’ve been a bit quiet on here of late as I’ve been busy making a tiny human!

I fell pregnant last November and our little boy arrived on 12th August. I was lucky enough to have an uncomplicated pregnancy and a natural birth, apart from some carpel tunnel in my hands and wrists towards the end and a bit of swelling due to the heat, and I managed to exercise and keep active right up until the last couple of weeks.

Having recently qualified as a pre and postnatal personal trainer, it was invaluable to go through a pregnancy myself and to really understand what exercising is like at every stage.

Recovery post birth has been going well, I have just been doing pelvic floor exercises, static abdominal contractions and walking up until now but hoping to get back to some gentle workouts after my 6-week doctors appointment on Monday.

I’ll be sharing a few posts about my journey back into exercise post birth. Looking forward to getting going 💪🏼

I've been training these two lovely sisters (both amazing Mum's too) for a couple of months now and it's a pleasure to see how much they have progressed and the enjoyment they get from their sessions.

As busy working Mum's, the two hours they train with me a week is their quality 'me time' and I strive to make every session fun, effective and suited to their strengths. I also always include a couple of minutes of relaxation at the end of each session which is a big hit!

I currently have some availability for 1to1 or small group sessions in the area. I can come to your home or we can meet at a suitable outdoor space. I'd love to hear from you if you're looking for some tailored, fun fitness motivation.

DM me or email me at [email protected].

Having completed my ante and postnatal personal training qualification, I am pleased to now offer PT sessions to mum's at any stage of their pregnancy or post birth journey in the Tunbridge Wells area.

I offer one to one or small group sessions that take into account all the physical changes, tiredness, aches, pains and challenges that come with being a superhero mum! 🦸‍♀️

My sessions are all about empowering my client's and making them feel stronger, fitter and more confident when exercising.

Been taking a bit of a break from posting on my socials but I’m still here and still lifting heavy things.

Trying to keep my routine going as things get busier in the run up to Christmas. If you are struggling to find the time, remember every little counts and in these darker months, exercise can help to improve your mood and your health.

But first, coffee! ☕️

I love a pre-workout coffee (with almond milk and a small bit of stevia).
Reports suggest caffeine may improve athletic performance and reduce rates of exertion. Some research has also linked coffee to boosting metabolic rates and burning fat.

That’s not to say you should start drinking 20 cups per day. Personally, I keep it to two cups and I try drinking a glass of water alongside as coffee acts as a diuretic! 💦

I’m back!

After two months of travels, I’m easing back into movement and it was just what my body and mind needed.

I had every intention of working out regularly while I was away but this didn’t really happen. Does this sound familiar to anyone else? 🙋‍♀️
BUT, I have no “post-holiday guilt” as I enjoyed my time exploring new places, which for me involves trying the all the delicious food (and copious amounts of wine).

So if you’re off on holidays this summer, just enjoy it. Lord knows we all deserve a holiday! Workout if you feel like it while you’re away, or don’t.

And if you’re struggling to even start exercising while in your normal routine. Just start slow and small. You can do it 👊🏼

R E C O N N E C T I N G

After a busy month with a house move, some studies, two new freelance marketing jobs (my other line of work) and travelling for the first time in well over a year to spend time with my future in-laws in South Africa, it feels good to reconnect with my body and with some beautiful nature.

Life can get busy and taking a break is OK but always try to find your way back to exercise and physical activity. Your body and mind will thank you 🙏🏼.
