RIDGEMONT PAVILION SPONSORSHIP RENEWED

Tunbridge Wells Youth Football Club are very pleased to announce the renewal of the sponsorship between the club and Ridgemont for the naming of the pavilion.

Ridgemont have supported the Ridgemont Pavilion from early in the project and through the 4 years that it has been open – providing much valued input both financially and giving advice. They have been key to establishing the Ridgemont Pavilion and we are very grateful.

Our sponsors Ridgemont state: "We are proud to continue our association with Tunbridge Wells Youth FC and the sponsorship of The Ridgemont Pavilion. Seeing the enthusiasm, commitment and enjoyment shown by the club's players week after week reminds us why supporting grassroots football is so important. We look forward to helping the club continue to thrive and to being part of its journey for many years to come".

The sponsorship for the first year of the new agreement has already been invested. The cost of the Sky Sports that is now shown in the bar as well as much needed equipment in the café have been generously covered by Ridgemont.

This brings vital benefits to the club:
1. For the Ridgemont Pavilion it will drive higher footfall and additional revenue to build on the foundation we have established in the past 4 years.
2. It provides key improvements to the services we offer without needing capital investment from the pavilion accounts.
3. It provides enhancements to the service the football club members receive without their subs contributing to these changes.

There is a board by the gates at the Ridgemont pavilion that will show the events we have on, the Sky Sports games that will be shown on the big screen and our opening times. Please take a look and make use of the facilities available to you – all members, friends and the local community are welcome!

*The Tigers who came to Bewl*

Shoutout to our TIGERS U15 who walked around Bewl Water to support their GK Liam and in memory of his cousin, Felix, who sadly passed unexpectedly in November 2023, aged just 9 years old.

Liam’s past charity efforts (he’d walked Bewl on 9 consecutive days) raised enough money for a memorial bench that the team visited on their 13 mile yomp. They also managed to keep a football moving, and mostly out of the water. Liam wearing his football boots all the way round. 😫

Definitely a different type of preseason activity and a tremendous display of team spirit. Liam is now planning a further 8 circuits and would welcome any sponsorship people can spare. 🐯🙏⚽️

Our TWYFC U15 Goalkeeper Liam has organised a preseason meet up! Read below for all the details! ⚪️🔴👏

*TWY U15 - Felix Bench Walk* 🙏

In Nov 2023, the cousin of Tigers GK Liam sadly passed away unexpectedly. Felix was just 9 years old and a keen footballer for Ashford FC U10s.

In August 2024 Liam walked around Bewl Water every day for 9 days in memory of Felix raising money to buy a memorial bench for the graveyard where Felix is buried.

Liam ended up raising enough money for two benches so the family decided to get one for Bewl too. The bench means lots to Liam & family so we’d like to organise a TWYFC U15 preseason meet up to walk Bewl Water (all of it); visit Felix’s bench and we’ll introduce a few challenges to keep the boys off their phones, perhaps out of the water (let’s see!) and see how the pre season fitness levels are.

Liam will also forward some details for Asthma & Lung Charity should people like to make a donation.
