I've been using the Pro Handle Grip for just over a year now - Absolutely love the way it allows me to paddle with ease over distance :-)
Just going back through some pictures of 2015, remembering a lovely day on the 3rd of October, paddling my Nah Skwell Fit 11' with X-Paddle Glide and Pro Handle Grip in the Action Van/UK SUP national event on the lovely river Hamble.
Having been persuaded to go and compete (at least in the 6k event) pretty last minute dot com, I had a lovely day paddling with a great bunch of people, and in spite of only going out for a cruise in the 'fun class', I ended up well ahead of most of our group inc. some 12'6 + boards (which I did not know I was actually racing against) and also ahead of several 12'6's that set off 3 mins ahead of us!
I ended up with a 3rd in Class medal, which I was very happy with, especially as I had deliberately left all my race boards/paddles in the van - This was my first ever race and I was there to enjoy it, not ever dreaming that I might be looking at a podium.
I knew the Fit 11' is no slouch, but its also very friendly, so electing to go with my favourite all round Board, only the 70% Carbon X-Paddle and Pro Handle Grip, with which I'm normally to be found teaching, or just cruising around the Solent, it all just seemed like the perfect choice - It certainly was :-)
