I have weighed myself nearly every day for the past 3 years — but here’s why it’s not obsession 👇
I don’t use the scale to judge myself.
I use it as data.
✨ I weigh myself daily and take a weekly average
✨ I use the trend over time to see if I’m moving toward the goal intended
✨ I don’t rely on the scale alone — progress pictures, strength, energy, measurements, recovery, mood and performance all matter too
✨ I understand there are SO many things that can make body weight fluctuate day to day:
• poor sleep
• stress
• sodium intake
• hydration
• menstrual cycle
• digestion
• training intensity
Your weight can change overnight without body fat changing at all.
This is why I don’t panic over one random weigh-in, and why I don’t let the scale define my progress or my worth.
Weight loss (and weight gain) isn’t linear. Real progress rarely looks like a straight line — it’s full of fluctuations, plateaus and moments where patience matters more than perfection.
For me, daily weigh-ins have actually helped me become less emotional about the scale because I’ve learned to see the bigger picture instead of attaching meaning to one number.
The goal isn’t to obsess over your body.
The goal is to understand it better 👏
If you’ve ever felt frustrated by the scale, send me a message with the word “CONFIDENCE” and let’s talk about building a healthier relationship with progress 💌
