Southampton University Mountaineering Club

Southampton University Mountaineering Club Indoor and Outdoor Bouldering, Climbing and Mountaineering. We're a friendly bunch of climbers and mountaineers based at at the University of Southampton.

Whether you've never tried climbing before or if you're a pro who's been climbing for years, everyone is welcome! We pride ourselves on being one of the busiest clubs at the university, running indoor climbing trips and socials every week and outdoor weekend trips all over the country every two weeks during term time. If you fancy getting involved, send us a message, come along to one of our socials or say hello down at the Uni Bouldering Wall, we'd love to meet you!

Hope you all had a great summer, and I'm sure we've all got many great stories to share. Well good news, we can all get together before the new year of study and socials, and see all our dearest beloved friends at the returners bonfire!!

There will be fire and hot chocolate, but be sure to bring warm clothes and any other drinks you want.☕😋

Woah!!!! It's our Freshers September Calendar (yes, there's more in October!!) and better late than never. On Monday is bunfight - there is a typo, it starts at 11am!! Make sure to check out the SUSU website for more information.

Our Boulder Shack student night is an incredibly chill way to begin climbing and meet other like-minded people, as well as other people already in SUMC and committee.

Our Welcome Presentation also doubles up as our first Fresher's Social!! Run by Patrick and Andreas, it's sure to be a fun-packed evening.

We hope to see as many people as possible, however if you don't make it in person or have a question for committee, message this page.
