Hi Everyone. As you all know I had to close down Jojo's Health and Fitness due to the impact of Covid19. My son has decided that he is going to take over the gym under his own private limited company called Reach. Please spread the word to as many people as possible that the gym will be opening tomorrow Friday 4th December. Can I also once again thank all my previous members for the love and support you have shown for the gym. Please carry on supporting my Son in his new venture as he will be one of the last independent gyms available to the public. The budget gyms as you know started of with low prices to squeeze most if the independent gyms out of the market and as most if you know they put up the prices once they had squeezed out most of the competition. Please support Reach Gym as you all know it is a community gym with a really friendly and welcoming atmosphere and one of the last few gyms with a wet area in it. Thanks again for supporting me and the community for the last 10 years. Please show my son the same support

Hi Everyone. Hope you are all keeping safe. Whilst the weather is good I was thinking of doing a few outdoor classes. I won't be charging ex Jojo's members for the first month. The classes i was thinking of doing was outdoor boxercise or outdoor HIIT classes. If you're interested respond to this post in the comments with your name , what classes you would prefer and what days are best for you. Thanks Jon

Important Notice to All Our Members.
As you are all aware under Government instructions due to the Corona virus Pandemic all Leisure centres were told to close their doors at the tail end of March 2020. We have now been closed for the last four months and as a result of no membership income our debts have built up and we are no longer in a position to carry on trading.
Therefore it is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we have decided to shut the business down after 10 years of trading. We cannot thank all our members enough for all the happiness and pleasure we have had serving you. We have not taken this decision lightly and if there was another way to carry on trading we would have followed that route.We are truly sorry at having to close down after all these years and we will miss you all so much.

Hi this a message to all of you who volunteered to help our over 70's . Just to let you know that i have just finished contacting all our over 70s at the gym regarding shopping and help at this time. They are all fine at this time but will contact me if they need anything as the weeks go by. Thank you all for volunteering and God bless you for offering your help

Dear Members,
Following today's announcement by the prime minister we feel it prudent to cancel all studio classes only until the virus situation is resolved. If you have a full gym membership you can carry on using the gym and pool until we are advised differently either by the central government or local government. Once things get back to normal any days you have lost on a studio membership will be added back onto your membership.
Please take all necessary precautions regarding the virus such as washing you hands for 30 seconds before coming to and when leaving the gym.
Whilst in the gym please keep in mind that social distancing is advisable i.e. keep at least 2 metres away from other members.

Dear Members,
These are very trying times for us all and it's at times like this we need to pool together and help one another.
As you may or may not be aware the government in the next few weeks may quarantine the over 70 year olds.
We have quite a few 70 year old and above members at our gym.
I am asking that we look after these people by forming a gym buddy group.
If the quarantine for the over 70's comes in to force can we form a group from the gym who would be willing to deliver groceries to these people.
I (Jojo) will start by saying I will deliver to these people. If a lot of us volunteer it will probably only mean an hour of our time in a week to see that all our over 70's have at least got access to food. If you are willing to volunteer please reply to this post with your name and membership number (or by email)and we will contact you as and when a group has formed.
I hope and pray that you all stay healthy in these uncertain times.
If you are a gym member who is over 70 and would like our help in having groceries delivered to you please call us on 02380332851 of email us on [email protected] and if and when the quarantine kicks in we will do our best to deliver your groceries to you.
One last request...can you please share this page as there maybe volunteers outside of the gym community who would like to help.

Dear Members.
Please be aware that we are still open at present but based on a daily risk assessment we will continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis. We will also be looking for guidance from local and central government as to whether we should stay open or not.
In the meantime we are trying to spray down the equipment with disinfectant every 2 hours during our peak hours of 4.00 p.m till 10.00 p.m. We will also be wiping down the equipment at the start of each day.
Please help us help you by washing your hand before coming to the gym and when leaving the gym. Please wash your hands thoroughly for at least 30 sevonds.
If you have a cough, temperature, breathing difficulties or indeed any other sickness please do not visit the gym. Do not worry about losing time on your membership as we will freeze your membership without any charge during this uncertain period.
If you are over the age of 70 years old, based on what the government might do in the next few weeks we recommend for your own sake that you consider waiting until this crisis has passed before coming to the gym.
