Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided football game that is widely played across the world. It is the only officially recognised small-sided football variant recognised by FIFA and UEFA. Futsal has been played by leading football nations (such as Uruguay, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Brazil) for almost a century. However, in England, it was only in 2008 when our first official national futsa
l league was formed. And the good news is that it is open to all abilities. After all, we are all beginners. So whether you want to try out a new sport, improve your fitness and/or socialise and make new friends then give Futsal a try!!! Also, if you are a keen football player. Then give Futsal a try too. It will improve yourself as a football for sure. After all, the likes of Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, Deco, Fabregas, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo amongst many others have all paid tribute to their football development to Futsal.
“Futsal is an extremely important way for kids to develop their skills and understanding of the game. My touch and my dribbling have come from playing Futsal”. Ronaldinho FIFA World Footballer of the Year 2004 + 2005
Futsal and traditional 5 aside should not be confused. In Futsal, there is NO over head height and the ball does go out of play (so you can't use the wall to pass it to a teammate). Futsal is a game that relies on technique to play well rather than strength and power. Then come and give it a try. You can contact us on Facebook and Twitter, or even on the email addresses/phone numbers further down the page. We look forward to seeing you come down play Futsal in our new hubs located across Hampshire.
