Solent Kestrels Basketball Club Basketball Club offering a complete programme of Junior & Senior Basketball based in Southampton, UK

Team Solent Kestrels Basketball Club is one of the leading boy’s basketball programmes in the country. The programme was originally started as Solent Stars in 1996 by Jimmie Guymon (former NBA player) and his wife Bev to provide basketball development opportunities for their son Matt and other talented local boys. The club now brings in players from a large area of the South of England including S

outhampton, Portsmouth, Salisbury, Swindon and Basingstoke. Formally changing its name to Solent Kestrels in 2006 following a seperation from the Stars mens team, since then the club has grown to new heights resulting in an U15 England Basketball Champions in the 09/10 season and another 3rd place finish in 10/11. The mens team was started to provide a pathway for players from Junior level up to Senior level and were National League Division 2 Champions in the 2015/16 season following promotion from Div 3 in 14/15. Solent Kestrels are proud to be partnered with Solent University.
