Mother nature has been cruel and very kind today. Our team has worked Long Damp Hours to deliver you our last event. We want to thank you all for coming. Sacrificing the time difference this morning. Smiling when it was raining and still smiling when soaked and muddy. Lapping up every minute of the event. If it was your first race with us or your 10th Thank you soooo much for all your support it's why we do it. Never say never as you never know we may come back and do a one off.

No need for filters. Started setting up today on site today. It's going to be a slightly differnt course due to sheep grazing. Can't wait until next Sunday to see you all. Ps don't wash your car before the day it may come home with mud too.

It's time for the final bow
The 10th year and this will sadly be the last.

Here at HQ we have had a tough decision to make. Whilst we are super excited to be running this year’s event, we are also sad to announce this will be the last. After 10 years, thousands of runners to both our trail and obstacle runs and more mud than we care to mention. We have taken the decision to make this our last.

Our ethos when we launched was to deliver first class events, to keep entry fees low and support local communities. We hope we have delivered on the first-class events. We truly love seeing lots of familiar names and faces at our events year on year. Thanks to you this is one of our biggest satisfaction gauges. Local communities such as Blue Onion Theatre and local Scout Troops have all benefited from supporting our events. Lastly the entrance fees. This has always been a challenge. Year on year insurances go up, staff, and even toilet prices rising almost 100%.

This is your last chance to enter the final General 2023. Come March 27th The General will cease to exist. www.toughenoughraces.co.uk

WE would love to say thank you to you all who have supported our event and taken part. You have made it all worthwhile. Seeing your smiling faces on the day enjoying our event will leave a special place in our hearts and minds.

Hopefully we will see you March 26th.
