Southampton Solent University Rowing Club also know as SSURC is one of the oldest Sport Societies of the University. Based at Coalporters Rowing Club on the Itchen River, the facilities are within walking distance from the Student Accommodation and University. The Rowers train on a six kilometer stretch from Riverside to Dock Head morning and evening and have full use of the gym facilities as well
as all Coalporters river, coastal and sculling boats. Solent Rowing prides itself on introducing completely new people to the sport and allowing them to become accomplished athletes. The club trains all year round competing throughout the country in Rowing Heads, Regattas and Coastal Races as well as competing at BUCS - the pinnacle of the year. Twitter:
