While everyone else is celebrating, we’re celebrating the only way greenkeepers know how… out working in the pouring rain! 😂
Today’s job: laying drainage pipes — because apparently even on Greenkeepers’ Day, we can’t escape digging holes! 🚜💦
Rain, mud and hard graft… wouldn’t have it any other way! 💪🌱

🌱🏌️ TOMORROW IS THANK A GREENKEEPER DAY! 🏌️🌱

Apparently tomorrow is the day when golfers are encouraged to thank their greenkeepers… and the hardworking team at Chilworth Golf Club are expecting nothing less! 😂

We spend all year mowing, watering, raking, blowing, repairing, feeding and generally making the course look good enough for you lot to complain about the pin positions. 😜

So if you see one of our greenkeepers tomorrow, please show your appreciation.

A smile is nice…
A “thank you” is lovely…
But a packet of biscuits is the proper way to say it. 🍪🍪🍪

And just so we're clear — chocolate biscuits count double. 🍫

Chris G was desperate to join the chainsaw crew but wasn't allowed with the real thing. So we got him a Fisher- Price one instead 🤣🤣🤣

So we had a fire outbreak very close to the course yesterday. We can't stress highly enough how important the smoking ban is. It's a tinderbox just waiting. Please adhere to the rules. Thank you and many thanks to the Fire Service who dealt with it promptly.
