What a huge grading we had this term! All of our juniors received a belt progression and we couldn't be prouder of the hard work they've put in 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

At Little Rockets, our students from ages 3 years and up earn their belts, they aren't participatory 💪🏼

As always, a huge thank you has to go to our students grown-ups for investing in their martial arts journey 🙇🏼‍♀️ ossu!

That's right y'all - we will be open the 7th, 14th and 21st of December as normal!

Our only closure is the 28th of December, and classes will be back running the following week on the 4th January 2026.

Let's go get it this December 💪🏼 Thinking of joining, but waiting until the new year? Our next junior kickboxing belt grading assessments are in February 2026! Don't delay, and that first belt could be closer than you think 😎

What an ENORMOUS grading awards day today! 🎉

So much progress made, confidence built and smiles all round as we celebrate the journey 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Thank you to everyone for being a part of our community, and helping enrich the lives of our young people through martial arts.

Every step forward a blessing, every step back a lesson, but we keep our eyes forward and we know the destination holds great things ❤️‍🔥

🥊 A powerful display from our young athletes today who undertook our brown stripe assessment.

💥 The students completed an hour of technical work, showing their proficiency in punches, kicks, head movement, level changes and footwork. Kicks also included jumping and spinning variations.

🔥 They then finished with our 250 reps of fitness:

50 x press-ups
50 x squats
50 x sit ups
50 x jumping jacks
50 x burpees

☄️ In an incredible effort, the students achieved sub 10 and sub 15 minutes for their fitness! Head Coach Amy, and all present, could not have been prouder.

💥 EMPOWERING GIRLS IN OUR COMMUNITY 💥

Female owned and female lead, we are so excited to launch our girls only session this year!

We are driven to provide a safe and inclusive environment for girls who find mixed classes to be a barrier against accessing combat sport in Southampton.

A big congratulations to all of our students who have worked so hard this term, with many earning their next belt progressions 💪🏼

I always remind our parents and students in class that we are celebrating EVERYONE'S dedication, passion and effort, even if they didn't quite reach their first or next belt. Each student develops at a different pace! What is truly important to us is that they are all enjoying positive, physical activity, and forming a positive relationship with exercise at an early age.

Never underestimate the power that passion for sport can have on a young person's life ❤️‍🔥
