Due to the success of our membership promotion over the last 2 years, we must now close the books on anymore members joining until further notice.
You can log your interest and your name will be kept on a list but you will not be able to shoot. You can apply to Highfield R&PC or Knightwood Oak RC who shoot at the same location on different nights of the week.

The Southampton Small Bore Rifle club has been awarded a bursary to help and promote shooting for juniors in our area. We offer NSRA experienced club coaches to assist, help and train youngsters into the art of rifle shooting. We have club equipment for the 3 disciplines of Prone, LWS and Benchrest. A Full Safety briefing will be explained to all attendees before any shooting commences. This is ‘open’ for both boys and girls from the ages of 14 - 18yo.
Each shooter will be asked to fill out a club application form (for Police approval) as we shoot ‘live firing rifles’.
All coaches and club officers attending each club night are DBS checked and offer a friendly club. Initially, they will be invited to attend the club on the 3rd Wednesday each month and then onward to the 2nd, 3rd & 4th Wednesday’s each month. Due to the current Covid restrictions, times are from 18.30 - 20.00 & 20.00 - 21.30pm with a max of 7 shooters per detail.
This is not a strength related sport and costs are minimal for the novice shooter. Club membership for Juniors is £50/year, with £3.00/visit + £1.00 Targets. Ammunition is £5.00/50 rounds.

Forget the start of the Grouse shooting season, we have the Glorious 12th for the re-starting of In-door Target Shooting. This an exciting time for All our club members to tune up our set up, reset our zero’s and recommence our Shooting Season. There is also a brand new Target Wall in our range which has been replaced over the past couple of weeks. It not only looks great 👍 but was an opportunity to finish our range refurbishment. We encourage our members to select their chosen shooting time and to book it in with the Secretary. Masks must be worn at all times, use hand sanitizer (provided) and social distance other shooters while at the club. CU all very soon and keep your eyes 👀 on the prize!!

Due to the current UK’s government lockdown our club remains closed until further notice. We are however, closely monitoring the current Covid-19 restrictions and will re-open when the infection rates come down to an acceptable level and the government issues new rules. We are very keen to maintain membership numbers (especially for juniors) and encourage prospective ‘new shooters’ to drop an email to our membership secretary so you can be added to the waiting list. We offer full training by NSRA coaches for novice shooters on Wednesday club nights. We actively participate in LWS, Prone and Benchrest shooting disciplines.
Our main club night is every Monday evening (club members) and alternate Wednesday evenings for ‘Newbie members) Good Social chat, competitions, team and individual competitions, social award nights and New Year dinners for members and partners.

SSBRC will be back into action as from Monday 7th Dec’2020. The Covid-19 restrictions are very strict and we will be limited to 6 members in the club during each session. This will be 5 off shooters + R/O. Attendance is via pre-booking only and masks/hand sanitizing is compulsory. Each member will have their temperature taken upon entry and will be allocated a numbered preparation area. Early Slot 18.30 - 20.00pm. Late Slot 20.00 - 21.30pm. Dear ALL Members of SSBRC.
Due to the latest Uk government ruling, a national shutdown has been reintroduced. Therefore, as from Thursday 5th Nov the club is CLOSED until further notice. Our club night on Monday 2nd Nov will still go ahead, but the restricted numbers allowed will be the last opportunity to shoot for a while.... ☹️🥺😔

The SSBRC is now ‘open’ but is operating under restricted conditions. We are running two timed details of 1.1/2hrs in duration and with restricted numbers allowed in the club room. Can members please contact the Secretary to book your slot and be prepared to arrive and leave on time. (Early Slot: 18.30 - 20.00 & Late Slot: 20.00 - 21.30pm) We are operating a Cashless Payment System and a Signing in log that records each shooters time in & time out for Track & Trace.
Any new shooters interested in shooting with need to contact our Membership Sec’ty and be placed on a waiting list.
