We’re delighted to share that Southampton FC's Player Development Camp is coming to the Isle of Wight this August, taking place over three days at Ryde School with Upper Chine, Isle of Wight 🙌

Designed for aspiring footballers who are already playing within a club environment, this camp provides players with the opportunity to experience Southampton FC’s Academy curriculum! 😇

Across the three days, players will work through sessions delivered by Southampton FC coaches, following the club’s Academy training syllabus - with the programme including ⬇️

⚽ Technical development sessions
🧠 Tactical coaching and game understanding
💪 Physical testing

This is a fantastic opportunity for committed players to challenge themselves, improve their understanding of the game, and experience the methods and practices - all of which are designed to inspire and develop aspiring players! 📈

📍 Venue: Ryde School, Isle of Wight
📅 Dates: 26th - 28th August

Slightly late, but it's great to finally have the 2025-2026 season wrapped up! ✅️ With the past year being one of the busiest, yet most rewarding, of my coaching journey 📈

Xcel Performance Coaching has continued to go from strength to strength, whilst also marking my return to Southampton FC. With the latter already providing countless opportunities and experiences, but most importantly has coincided with the privilege of continuing to develop as a coach within the Academy pathway, working with fantastic young players in the Pre-Academy and supporting those at the very beginning of their journey with the club 😇

Now, the focus turns to 2026-2027! 📅

For which I'm incredibly excited to see our Xcel Performance Coaching evening centres and Xcel FC players continue their development, embrace new opportunities within my role at Southampton FC, and welcome further young players into the Academy pathway - with the new age groups beginning this evening 🙌

Alongside this, I'm also looking forward to continuing to grow JT Coaching, starting with limited availability for 1-to-1 and small group coaching sessions over the coming weeks. So, if you're looking for individualised coaching to help take your game to the next level, I'd love to hear from you - and please get in touch directly and as soon as possible to secure your space 📲

Superb round of fixtures down at Staplewood this morning with our U7’s pre-academy group! 😇

The boys had to battle and adapt against different opposition as well as the heat! 💪🔥

Really pleasing to see how they stood up to and embraced those challenges, and rewarding to watch their performances - especially in the way they demonstrated the key tactical aspects set out for them! ⚽️

📍 The Bay CE School - Community Facilities!
⏰ 12:30pm-6:00pm!

The camp is open to both current 𝙓𝙘𝙚𝙡 𝙁𝘾 U11's - U13’s players, and those interested in joining us next season for U12’s - U14’s! 🙌

Whilst throughout the day, players will take part in a variety of technical and tactical practices, activities, and game-related sessions, all designed to help prepare for the season ahead! 📈

Specific focus areas include ⬇️

✅ 9v9 session work for U11’s & U12’s
✅ 11v11 session work for U13’s
⚽️ Technical development
🧠 Tactical understanding
🏆 Match preparation and decision making

This is a fantastic opportunity for players to continue developing, prepare for the next level, and experience the Xcel Performance Coaching environment ahead of the new season! 👊
