This weekend saw the team go to Oliver’s Mount for the Gold Cup but this time with Alex Ludlow in the chair.

Friday Practice/Qualifying was just about making sure Alex was comfortable with it being his first time on the bike, which went really well with both boys being happy with their qualifying position and how the bike was feeling.

Unfortunately in Saturday they did DNF in race one with yet another engine fault. With this being another engine problem, the team took the decision to get the bike in with the Christie’s (CES) on the dyno to try and cure any potential lingering faults. A special shout out to Adam Christie who fitted us in last minute, helping us with the dyno and mapping of the bike, which meant we could go out today! The bike felt much much better.

Today the boys had a great race finishing 3rd and then had a good battle with Steve/Matty with us finishing 4th! So we finally got 2 finishes which the team are really pleased with!

A special thank you and shout out to Alex Ludlow for stepping in the chair and not putting a foot wrong all weekend!

This leaves Oliver’s Mount completed for another year and we are off to Donnington next weekend for the final round of the FSRA British F2 Championship.

Throwback to where it started 10 years ago today on Mick Harrison’s Ireson.

10 years ago Bruce made a comeback and Ash decided to race with his dad, where the family team of LBS Racing went onto start.

The dream 10 years ago was to go back to the Isle of Man after 17 prior TT’s and 10 years retirement and do the TT as a father and son team.

The boys went on to do TT 2019, TT 2022 and TT 2026 together and Bruce did TT 21, TT23 and TT24 with Gashy.

Two 3rds at Oliver’s Mount together and many times round the Mount along with lots of circuits competed!

Racing together as Father and Son, we’ve completed a lot, achieved a lot and hope to continue achieving much more, a dream we’d never thought we’d be able to create!

Last weekend saw the team head to Oliver’s Mount for the C**k of the North meeting, with Tom in the chair.

We’d made a few adjustments in the few weeks off with new brake pads etc, so went into Saturday morning steady away to bed those in and see how they felt. Then in the afternoon we had a positive race getting down to 2.03’s again, and feeling much more comfortable with the brakes, the team had a strong finish of 4th.

Unfortunately in the first race on Sunday there was a slight rattle and something didn’t feel quite right, so to save the engine, Bruce pulled over to the side. The team then worked effortlessly to try and get the bike ready for the second race, sadly we finished it literally 5 minutes of the first few laps, so didn’t manage to get out.

But overall high spirits from everyone and looking forward to being out this weekend at Round 5 of the FSRA British F2 Championship at Castle Combe with Ash back in the chair.

A massive thank you to Tom Dawkins for stepping in and helping us for the first three Scarborough’s, managing to get our fastest laps 👍

Last weekend Bruce and Tom competed at Oliver’s Mount for the Barry Sheene Festival.

We had a great weekend, on Saturday we managed to get two finishes, which we were happy with considering the heat! Then unfortunately on Sunday we blew the engine on the last half a lap! So unfortunately we had a DNF.

Now the team are at Pembrey for Round 4 of the FSRA British F2 Championship back with Ash in the chair.

We are disappointed that the whole sidecar grid is unable to compete for the rest of TT 2026.

We just wanted to say a massive thank you to all of our sponsors for all of your help and support to get us here, thank you to all of our team, mechanics, family and team members for all of your support and efforts throughout the last week and the last year in the help to get us here.

We will still be competing in the FSRA British F2 Championship and Olivers Mount and we hope to be back on Glencrutchery Road for TT 2027 🤞
