After being put forward by our Club Secretary, we are incredibly proud to announce that one of our Young Volunteer Coaches, Sophie, has been shortlisted for the West Riding FA Young Volunteer of the Year Award! 🏆
A Huge Congratulations to Sophie on this Fantastic and Well-Deserved recognition. 👏
For more than three seasons, Sophie has dedicated her time to supporting players across our club, making a real difference within our Wildcats Girls Sessions, Pan-Disability Comets Programme, and Pan-Disability Just Play Sessions. Her Enthusiasm, Encouragement and Commitment have helped create Positive Football Experiences for so many young people and adults alike. 🤝
What makes Sophie’s contribution even more special is that she doesn’t even play for Linthwaite Football Club. She simply wanted to Give Back, Support Others and make a Difference. She is a shining example of what can happen when young people are given Opportunities to Lead, Grow and Inspire those around them. 🫶
Not only has Sophie been making an impact off the pitch, but she’s also enjoyed a fantastic season on it, winning both the League and Cup with her team at Norristhorpe Junior FC. ⚽🏅
