This is brand new referee Brooke, she took charge of her second game of the season at the weekend in the Kent Valley Junior Football League

Brooke’s first game was recorded using VEO, giving referee mentors the opportunity to watch her performance back, offer feedback and provide support as she develops.

And that’s exactly what we want to see with young referees.

Not just giving them a whistle and sending them out there — but mentoring them, supporting them and helping them grow in confidence with every game.

It’s been a really positive start to the season for Brooke and we’re looking forward to following her journey and seeing how she progresses. 👏⚽

This is my son, Rhys. Two years ago, he had lost all confidence in himself and was considering quitting football.

Instead, he made the difficult decision to change teams. It was a huge step for him at the time—but he is now so glad he did.

Since joining Murieston United 2012 Blues, Rhys has become a completely different boy and player. He believes in himself again, has developed into a strong centre-back and leader, and collected three awards at the end of last season.

He has now set himself the incredible goal of studying and playing football in America and is being profiled to colleges and coaches ahead of 2029. 🇺🇸

Rhys has put in the hard work, but I genuinely don’t believe he would be where he is today without the support of his coaches, teammates and the parents around the team.

His coaches have their own families, jobs and businesses, yet they give up so much of their time for these boys—and their influence goes far beyond simply coaching football.

I just want to thank everyone at Murieston United 2012 Blues for helping Rhys rediscover his confidence, believe in himself and dream big again.

This is what grassroots football is all about.

⬛ROMANIAN FA INTRODUCE BLACK CARD FOR ABUSIVE PARENTS

The move is aimed specifically at tackling abusive behaviour from parents and spectators at youth football.

⚠️ Warning
⏸️ 10-minute suspension
⬛ Black Card = match abandoned

The Romanian FA says it is the first football federation in the world to introduce a card specifically to sanction spectator behaviour.
